Dubai-Spain Visit to Unlock New Growth Avenues for MP: CM Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that his recent visit to Dubai and Spain will open new avenues of development in Madhya Pradesh. Investors from both countries have shown great enthusiasm for investing in the state. As a result of this visit, Madhya Pradesh has received investment proposals worth over Rs. 11,000 crore. He further mentioned that during his previous visits to countries such as Germany, Japan and the UK, significant investment proposals were also received for Madhya Pradesh. Continuous domestic and international investments are helping realize Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India. It is a matter of great pride that Madhya Pradesh is emerging as a global investment hub.

Upon his return from the foreign tour, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav addressed the media at the State Hangar in Bhopal and shared the outcomes of the visit. He informed that investment proposals worth over Rs. 11,119 crore were secured during the Dubai and Spain tour, which are expected to create employment for more than 14,000 people.

CM Dr. Yadav emphasised that transforming the lives of the poorest is essential, and Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is making tireless efforts toward this goal. The state government is committed to inclusive development—empowering the poor, youth, women, and farmers—while preserving heritage and accelerating progress. He urged all citizens to remain committed to advancing Madhya Pradesh. CM Dr. Yadav made these remarks while addressing a welcome ceremony at the State Hangar in Bhopal on Sunday after successfully completing his week-long visit to Dubai and Spain under the state’s global investment promotion campaign.

PM Modi Turned Dubai into a Strategic Hub

CM Dr. Yadav praised Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s leadership in strengthening India’s global standing. He noted that the Prime Minister visited Dubai seven times during his 11-year tenure to foster bilateral trade and industrial partnerships. CM Dr. Yadav, calling Dubai a “mini-world,” said he is following in the Prime Minister’s footsteps to promote the “Vyapar Aur Udyog Varsh 2025” and attract investments from across the globe. He added that the Dubai and Spain tour played a vital role in this effort and was designed to support PM Modi’s vision of a developed India. He said, “Every decision of the Prime Minister is enhancing India’s global reputation”.

Two Decades of Development Transform Madhya Pradesh

CM Dr. Yadav remarked that the last 20 years have been a period of transformation in Madhya Pradesh. He credited former Chief Ministers Sushri Uma Bharti, the late Shri Babulal Gaur and Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan for laying the foundation of the state’s progress. He emphasised that governance became meaningful for citizens during these years.

CM Dr. Yadav asserted that after Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh is the most committed state to realizing Prime Minister Modi’s dream of a developed India. Citing examples, he said PM Modi completed the Sardar Sarovar Dam in Gujarat and approved inter-state river-linking projects for Madhya Pradesh—moves that will significantly accelerate the pace of development in the state.

India-Spain Cultural Cooperation Year

CM Dr. Yadav shared that the Government of India has declared this year as the “India-Spain Cultural Cooperation Year,” making his visit to Spain particularly significant. As part of this collaboration, cultural and performing arts programs featuring Spanish artists will be organized in Madhya Pradesh throughout the year.

Sustained Efforts to Attract Investment

The Chief Minister elaborated on the various investment proposals received during the Dubai and Spain tour. He noted that sustained efforts are being made to boost investment in Madhya Pradesh through divisional-level industrial conclaves, the Global Investors Summit in Bhopal, and earlier international visits to the UK, Germany, and Japan. He also mentioned that sector-wise meetings and seminars were held in Indian cities like Kolkata, Coimbatore, Surat, and Ludhiana to attract investment and facilitate the establishment of new industrial units in Madhya Pradesh.

Raksha Bandhan Gift for Ladli Behnas

CM Dr. Yadav announced that under the Ladli Behna Yojana, a special Raksha Bandhan gift will be given to women beneficiaries. In addition to the monthly Rs. 1,250 already being provided, an extra Rs. 250 will be transferred as a festive bonus, ensuring that Rs. 1,500 will be deposited into their accounts before August 9.
