Raipur : A major milestone in the healthcare services of Kabirdham district was achieved on Friday with the inauguration of a state-of-the-art CT Scan unit at the District Hospital, Kawardha. The facility was officially launched by Chhattisgarh’s Health Minister, Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister, Shri Vijay Sharma.
Health Minister Jaiswal stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudeo Sai, the healthcare infrastructure across the state is being systematically strengthened. He praised the commitment and proactive efforts of Deputy CM Vijay Sharma for enabling advanced medical facilities in a district like Kabirdham. “With the commencement of the CT scan services at the district hospital, patients will no longer have to travel to other cities for diagnostics. This will save time and significantly reduce medical expenses,” said Jaiswal.

Sharma informed that the CT scan unit has been established at a cost of approximately ₹4 crore and is equipped with the latest medical technology.
Highlighting ongoing efforts to improve healthcare, Deputy CM Sharma added that 38 new doctors have been appointed in Kabirdham district by the state government. This will enhance specialist care and improve the overall quality of treatment available in the region. “This is more than just a facility; it is a significant step toward public service and building a healthier society,” he emphasized.
The event was attended by several dignitaries including Shri Bisesar Patel, Chairman of the State Cow Service Commission; Shri Deepak Mhaskey, Chairman of CGMSC; District Collector Shri Gopal Verma; District Panchayat President Shri Ishwari Sahu; Municipal Council President Shri Chandraprakash Chandravanshi; Vice President Shri Kailash Chandravanshi; and District Panchayat Vice President Shri Ramkumar Bhatt, along with other public representatives, officials, and citizens.
