Minister Smt. Rajwade Reviews Departmental Schemes in Bijapur — Issues Key Directives

“Reducing Malnutrition is the Top Priority,” says Women & Child Development Minister Lakshmi Rajwade

Raipur, Aug 25 : Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Lakshmi Rajwade conducted a review meeting with department officials during her visit to Bijapur, assessing the progress of various schemes and programmes. Emphasizing the importance of nutrition and health for children, women, and adolescents, she urged officials to work collectively and efficiently to bring about improvement.

Minister Rajwade stated that reducing malnutrition is the foremost priority of the department. She instructed officers to launch a special six-month campaign focused on improving nutritional outcomes. The campaign should include door-to-door outreach to beneficiaries and regular inspections by supervisors.

She stressed the need for widespread awareness to ensure that all eligible individuals benefit from the schemes. Minister Rajwade urged officials to run continuous public awareness programmes with the support of local public representatives.

She also directed that a list of Anganwadi centres requiring repairs be prepared and promptly sent to the district administration to ensure timely renovation. She announced her intention to revisit Bijapur after six months to personally inspect the ground-level implementation of schemes.

The meeting was attended by Department Director Shri Padum Singh Elma, District Programme Officer, Project Officers, and Supervisors.
