Governor Expresses Grief Over the Demise of Shibu Soren

Mumbai, Aug 2025 : Maharashtra Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of former Jharkhand Chief Minister Shibu Soren.

Former Chief Minister Shibu Soren dedicated nearly five decades of his life to the politics of Jharkhand with unwavering commitment. As a Member of Parliament, he effectively raised the issues concerning the common people of Jharkhand. During his tenure as Chief Minister, he launched numerous welfare schemes aimed at improving the living standards of ordinary citizens, especially the tribal communities. With his passing, Jharkhand has lost a father-figure and a skilled parliamentarian.

“I offer my heartfelt tributes to the late Shibu Soren and extend my deepest condolences to his son, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, and the bereaved family,” the Governor said in his condolence message.
