Free Accommodation and Meals Arranged for Pilgrims under the Initiative and Guidance of Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma

Raipur, Aug 2025 : An awe-inspiring confluence of devotion and faith was witnessed on the last Monday of the sacred Sawan month in Amarkantak, Madhya Pradesh. The entire region resonated with chants of “Har Har Mahadev” and “Bol Bam” as thousands of Kanwariyas set out to perform Jalabhishek at revered Shiva temples like Bhoramdeo, Dongariya, and Panchmukhi Budha Mahadev in Kabirdham district after collecting holy water from Amarkantak.

This year, special arrangements were made to serve these devotees. Under the initiative and guidance of Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Vijay Sharma, the District Bolbam Coordination Committee and Kabirdham District Administration ensured free accommodation and meals for Kanwariyas and devotees at Mrityunjay Ashram in Amarkantak. Throughout the Sawan month, over 150 Bolbam committees facilitated prasadi for approximately 50,000 Kanwariyas and pilgrims at the ashram.

The devotees were served a wholesome meal comprising dal, rice, vegetables, and sweets like kheer, halwa, and puri. This dedicated service continued daily throughout the Sawan month, benefiting thousands of devotees from Kawardha and surrounding areas. Thanks to the continuous supervision and directives of Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma, not only meals but also primary healthcare, resting facilities, and other essential amenities were made available to the Kanwariyas.

Members of the District Bolbam Coordination Committee, including Anil Thakur, Dauwa Gupta, Sudhir Kesharwani, Nishant Jha, and Manjeet Bairagi, expressed that this initiative stands as a testament to Deputy Chief Minister Sharma’s dedication to public service and his deep devotion towards the pilgrims. Thousands of Kanwariyas visiting Amarkantak appreciated this noble effort and extended their heartfelt gratitude to the committee for their assistance.
