Crop Insurance Claim Distribution Program to be Held on August 11

Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan to be Chief Guest; Program to be Chaired by Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma

Jaipur, Aug 2025 : Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan will participate as the chief guest in the crop insurance claim distribution program under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, to be held in Jhunjhunu on August 11. Through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), crop insurance claims will be distributed to farmers. The program will be chaired by Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma.

Principal Secretary, Agriculture & Horticulture, Shri Rajan Vishal, on Friday held a detailed discussion at the Pant Krishi Bhawan conference hall with the district collectors of Jaipur, Jhunjhunu, Kotputli, and Sikar, along with relevant departmental officials, regarding preparations for the ceremony.

Shri Rajan Vishal reviewed the progress of responsibilities assigned to all officials and instructed that preparations must be completed in a timely and well-organized manner to ensure the program’s success. He directed the nodal officers appointed for the event to coordinate within their respective areas to ensure all arrangements are in place.

The Principal Secretary further instructed the departments involved in organizing the event to work in close coordination to ensure flawless arrangements. He emphasized the need to make adequate provisions for farmers’ arrival, seating, and drinking water at the venue. He also directed that proper parking facilities and suitable medical arrangements be ensured at the site.

The meeting was attended by Agriculture Commissioner Ms. Chinmayi Gopal; Jhunjhunu District Collector Dr. Arun Garg; Additional Director, Agricultural Marketing Department, Shri Ravindra Kumar Sharma; Chief Accounts Officer, Smt. Kaushalya Sankritya; Additional Director, Horticulture, Shri Hirendra Kumar Sharma; Additional Director, Agriculture (Extension), Shri Surendra Singh Shekhawat; Additional Director, Agriculture (Inputs), Shri Gopal Lal Jat; along with several senior officials from the Agriculture and Horticulture Departments.
