Chief Minister Chairs Project Monitoring Committee Meeting

Aizawl Aug 2025: Chief Minister Pu Lalduhoma chaired a meeting of the Mizoram State Project Monitoring Committee (MSPMC) at the CM’s Conference Hall. This was the 6th General Body Meeting of the committee.

The Chief Minister noted that various teams under the MSPMC have been working diligently and their performance was evident from the reports reviewed in the meeting. He said 18 projects will be inspected again and the Annual Report will be prepared soon. “Our work is extremely beneficial for the state,” he added.

The meeting reviewed progress reports from April to August 2025, during which 18 project sites were visited, including:


1. Construction of improvement of Ramrikawn to NH 54 via Sakawrtuichhun (NABARD)

2. Construction of Concrete Gravity Impounding at Tlawng River/Pialthleng (AMRUT 2.0)

3. Development of Flatted Factory Complex at IIDC, Pukpui, Lunglei (Promotion of MSME in NER Region)

4. Establishment of Solid Waste Management Centre at Hauruang (NLCPR)

5. Construction of Market & Trade Centre at Chanmari, Lunglei (NEC)

6. Kawlhawk – Buarpui Upgradation & Maintenance (PMGSY Phase 3)

7. Rawpuichhip – Buarpui Construction & Maintenance (PMGSY Phase 3)

8. Construction of 50 Bedded District Hospital at Saitual (NESIDS OTRI)

9. Construction of 50 Bedded District Hospital at Khawzawl (NESIDS OTRI)

10. Construction of Critical Care Block at District Hospital, Champhai (ERCP 2)

11. Construction of Zomi Cultural Centre & Preservation of Historical Site at Champhai (NEC)

12. Construction of Passion Fruit Processing Unit at IIDC, Zote, Champhai (NEC)

13. Construction of Auditorium at Bethel Veng, Champhai (NEC)

14. Construction of District Court Complex at Vengsang, Champhai (CSS)

15. Construction of ST Girls Hostel at Champhai (Article 275)

16. Tuivamit Playground (MoHUA)

17. Construction of Approach Road to 10 MW Power Grid at Thenzawl (NABARD) leh

18. Agriculture Growth Centre te an ni.

Reports and recommendations from these site visits were discussed in detail, along with future implementation plans.

The committee also discussed 138 new projects from 28 departments, which will be reviewed once initial work begins. Preparation of the MSPMC Annual Report 2024–25 is also underway. Suggestions for improving project implementation will be sent to the relevant departments.
