Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign Held In Kolasib
Kolasib, Aug 2025: As part of the celebrations for the 79th anniversary of India’s Independence, the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign was organised today at the premises of the Kolasib DC Office. The programme featured a ‘Tiranga Yatra’ (flag march), community singing of the patriotic song Har Ghar Tiranga, and a pledge ceremony to honour the national flag.

The event was chaired by Pi Lalrinchhani, Sub-Deputy Commissioner, while Pi B. Malsawmtluangi, Additional Deputy Commissioner, delivered the keynote address. She highlighted the importance of the Har Ghar Tiranga initiative, stating that it promotes national unity during Independence Day celebrations. She noted that the Government of India encourages every citizen to hoist the national flag at their homes, not only as a display of patriotism but also as a symbol of respect for the sacrifices made by freedom fighters. She urged citizens to uphold the dignity of the flag and to remember the struggles and values that led to India’s independence.
Pu Lalengliana, President of the Mizoram Ex-Servicemen League, Sub-Headquarters Kolasib, administered the Har Ghar Tiranga pledge and led the patriotic oath-taking. The event was attended by government officials, members of the Mizoram Ex-Servicemen League, and selected high school students from Kolasib town.
