Discussion on Oral Reading Fluency Program; Mega PTM on September 8 — Meeting chaired by Education Secretary Krishna Kunal at Shiksha Sankul

Jaipur, Aug 2025 :Under the Chief Minister’s Shikshit Rajasthan Abhiyan (MSRA), a review meeting on the reading remediation action plan and implementation of the ongoing Oral Reading Fluency Program for students of Classes 3 to 8 was held at Shiksha Sankul. The meeting was chaired by Education Secretary Shri Krishna Kunal, who instructed that the campaign results be released by September 1 and preparations for a mega Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) to be held in all government schools across the state on September 8 be ensured.

He further informed that the formal launch of the Reading Remediation initiative will take place on September 5. The aim of this program is to help students with weak reading skills improve their abilities through extra practice and personalized guidance.

Shri Kunal directed officials to ensure the timely delivery of books and workbooks to students, upload learning videos on the Teacher App, and focus on the effective implementation of the “Seating Model.” Under this model, students are seated in classrooms according to their reading ability level so that they can receive targeted support, thereby accelerating their learning progress.

The meeting was attended by State Project Director & Commissioner Smt. Anupama Jorwal, Director of Primary & Secondary Education Shri Sitaram Jat, Additional State Project Director Shri Suresh Kumar Bunkar, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Omprabha, representatives from UNICEF, BCG, and the Wadhwani Foundation, along with departmental officers.
