Agri & Horticulture Secretary Urges Faster Implementation of Schemes to Deliver Quick Benefits to Farmers
Jaipur, Aug 2025 — Secretary of Agriculture and Horticulture, Shri Rajan Vishal, while reviewing departmental schemes, directed officials to accelerate the implementation of budget announcements so that maximum farmers can receive timely benefits. On Wednesday, Shri Rajan Vishal chaired a review meeting at Pant Krishi Bhawan with agriculture and horticulture department officials regarding the progress of departmental schemes.
He emphasized that budget announcements should be fully implemented and completed within the stipulated time. Departmental officers must ensure that more and more farmers are made aware of these schemes. He stressed that the benefits of all schemes should reach every farmer in rural areas, even in the remotest parts, to further strengthen their economic condition.
During the meeting, Shri Rajan Vishal reviewed progress with scheme in-charges on farm ponds, diggies, irrigation pipelines, fencing, agricultural equipment, custom hiring centers, the Raj Kisan Saathi portal, greenhouses, polyhouses, solar pumps, drip and sprinkler irrigation systems, mini sprinklers, and other departmental activities.
The meeting was attended by Agriculture & Horticulture Commissioner Ms. Chinmayi Gopal, Deputy Secretary of Agriculture Shri Ashok Kumar Meena, Financial Advisor Shri Achleshwar Meena, Additional Director of Agriculture (Extension) Shri S.S. Shekhawat, Additional Director of Agriculture (Inputs) Shri Gopal Lal Jat, Additional Director of Agriculture (Administration) Shri Hushiyar Singh, Additional Director (Horticulture) Shri Hirendra Kumar Sharma, Additional Director of Agriculture (Research) Shri Ajay Kumar Pachauri, and other scheme in-charge officers.
