Cultural & Literary Activities to Be Held Across 75 Locations in the State from August 17 to October 2

Jaipur, Aug 2025 — A meeting was held at the State Secretariat on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, in the presence of Principal Secretary for Tourism, Art, Literature, Culture, and Archaeology, Shri Rajesh Yadav. The meeting discussed the functions, current progress, and operational challenges of various academies under the Department of Art, Literature, Culture, and Archaeology.

Deputy CM Diya Kumari directed that various cultural and literary activities be organized across 75 locations—cities and towns in the state—from August 17 to October 2, 2025. She said that a detailed plan for these events will be shared with all concerned, which will form the basis for hosting grand cultural and literary programs.

She reviewed the work of the Rajasthan Sangeet Natak Academy (Jodhpur), Rajasthan Sahitya Academy (Udaipur), Rajasthani Language, Literature & Culture Academy (Bikaner), Lalit Kala Academy (Jaipur), Rajasthan Urdu Academy (Jaipur), Rajasthan Sindhi Academy (Jaipur), Rajasthan Sanskrit Academy (Jaipur), Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Bal Sahitya Academy (Jaipur), Rajasthan Braj Bhasha Academy (Jaipur), Rajasthan Punjabi Language Academy (Sri Ganganagar), and the Jawahar Kala Kendra (Jaipur), stressing that Rajasthan’s art, culture, and literature are a matter of great pride.

She emphasized the state government’s commitment to protecting and promoting the work of artists and writers. The Deputy CM instructed that individuals associated with art and literature should be regularly given opportunities and platforms to showcase their work, and that the academies should host literary and cultural programs as frequently as possible.

Highlighting the role of modern communication, she noted that social media platforms offer significant opportunities for the promotion and publicity of cultural and literary activities, and these should be fully utilized.
