State-Level Awareness and Sensitization Workshop on “User Experience (UX) and Design System” Held

Bhubaneswar, Aug 2025 : A State-level Awareness and Sensitization Workshop on User Experience (UX) and Design System was held today at the Convention Hall of Lok Seva Bhawan, Bhubaneswar. Shri Vishal Kumar Dev, Principal Secretary, Department of Electronics & Information Technology and Energy, Government of Odisha, attended the workshop as the Chief Guest. “The needs of citizens must remain at the core of digital services, and our priority should be to create accessible and inclusive platforms.” he stated.

Dr. Pradeep Kumar Raut, Special Secretary, Department of Electronics & Information Technology, said that the objective of this initiative was to raise awareness on User-Centric Design and Design Systems in order to make digital service delivery more citizen-friendly, intuitive, accessible, and standardized.

The workshop featured five sessions covering key topics i.e.Fundamentals of User Experience and Interface Design,Accessibility Guidelines for Digital Platforms,National and State Design Systems,User Feedback and Usability Testing,Continuous Improvement in Digital Services.

The sessions included discussions, group activities, and experience sharing to enhance practical knowledge.

At the conclusion of the programme, all departments were urged to adopt citizen-centric design practices to make digital services more efficient and easily accessible. At the end Dr. Ashok Kumar Hota, Deputy Director General, NIC, and State Informatics Officer delivered the vote of thanks.
