Pune, July 2026 : As part of the ‘Samvad Wari’ initiative launched by the Directorate General of Information and Public Relations (DGIPR) during the Ashadhi Wari pilgrimage, Maharashtra Minister for Information Technology and Cultural Affairs, Adv. Ashish Shelar, and Agriculture Minister Dattatray Bharane paid a goodwill visit to the digital tableau at Belwadi in Indapur taluka on Friday.

During the Sant Tukaram Maharaj Palkhi procession, the two ministers explored the various technology-driven features incorporated into the digital tableau.

The ministers reviewed the digital presentation showcasing the Maharashtra government’s welfare schemes, development initiatives, and public-centric programmes designed to effectively communicate government initiatives to citizens. They also experienced the AI-powered chatbot quiz, interacting with it by asking questions related to various government schemes.

Both ministers appreciated the initiative for presenting government information in a simple, engaging, and easily understandable manner for the lakhs of Warkaris participating in the annual pilgrimage.

Speaking on the occasion, Adv. Ashish Shelar said the Directorate General of Information and Public Relations had successfully blended the centuries-old Wari tradition with modern digital technology to disseminate information about government schemes to the public.

He described ‘Samvad Wari’ as an innovative communication platform that leverages digital tools to make government programmes more accessible, attractive, and impactful for citizens.

Agriculture Minister Dattatray Bharane also lauded the initiative, stating that the digital tableau has proved to be an effective medium for informing devotees and pilgrims about various government welfare schemes during one of Maharashtra’s largest religious and cultural events.

He noted that the use of emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence enables citizens to access accurate and reliable information quickly, making such initiatives highly relevant in today’s digital era.

The digital tableau received an enthusiastic response from Warkaris, devotees, and visitors, who used the interactive displays, watched informative videos, and engaged with the AI chatbot to learn more about various government welfare programmes.

The ‘Samvad Wari’ Digital Tableau, developed by the Directorate General of Information and Public Relations, continues to travel along the Ashadhi Wari route, effectively spreading awareness about the Maharashtra government’s citizen-centric schemes, development projects, and welfare initiatives through a unique combination of modern technology and traditional folk culture.
