Fertilizer Received on Time, Hopes Bloom

Raipur, Aug 2025 : From the very start of the Kharif season, the state government has prioritized meeting the agricultural needs of farmers. Quality seeds and fertilizers are being made available to them in adequate quantities through cooperative societies in a timely manner.

Thanks to the farmer-friendly policies of the government and the alertness of the administration, Santosh Kesharwani, a marginal farmer from Korkoma village in Korba, was able to sow his fields without difficulty. Expressing his happiness, he said that the promptness of the government and the society ensured timely delivery of essential agricultural materials, allowing all farming activities to be completed on schedule.

Another farmer, also named Santosh, said he owns about 5 acres of land and has been striving for better yields since the start of the Kharif season. Timely rains ensured smooth plowing and seedling preparation. He also received the required fertilizers from the societies on time. For this Kharif season, he purchased 7 sacks each of DAP, urea, and superphosphate from the Korkoma Cooperative Society as per his needs. This time, he received the fertilizers without any trouble or repeated visits to the societies.

Santosh shared that in the last Kharif season, he sold around 92 quintals of paddy. This year too, from the very beginning, he and his family have been working hard for a good harvest. With timely sowing, his crops are looking healthy, and the family’s efforts are bearing fruit. He plans to provide irrigation and apply fertilizers periodically as needed. “Farming is not just a means of livelihood, but it has now become a crop of hopes as well. The way the government has arranged for fertilizers and seeds to be made available to farmers through cooperative societies on time has given great relief to small farmers like us. It has not only reduced our financial burden but also boosted our confidence,” he said.
