Satellite Hospital Worth ₹29 Crore Coming Up in Kotda, Says Assembly Speaker

Ajmer, Aug 2025 – Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani announced that a satellite hospital costing ₹29 crore is under construction in Kotda, Ajmer district, which will cater to major healthcare needs of the region. The 50-bed facility will be a boon for critical patients and will also provide treatment for common ailments, diagnostic services, and free medicines.

On Sunday, Speaker Devnani inaugurated the construction of a CC road in Kotda Krishna Colony at a cost of ₹30 lakh. Earlier, he had also inaugurated internal road projects worth ₹71 lakh in the same area. He emphasized that crores of rupees are being spent on developmental works in Kotda, with the satellite hospital already operational in a temporary building. He further added that one of the three new service reservoirs being built to meet Ajmer North’s drinking water needs will also be located in Kotda.

Devnani stated that the Ajmer North Assembly constituency is undergoing rapid transformation in sectors like roads, water, electricity, tourism, education, sports, and environment. To address the city’s drinking water crisis permanently, projects worth ₹270 crore have been sanctioned for reservoirs in Prithviraj Nagar, Kotda, and Lohagal, ensuring direct supply from Bisalpur Dam. To tackle power outages affecting water pumping, a BTS system worth ₹5 crore will be installed, while a 132 KV gas-based GSS at Hathibhata will ensure stable electricity supply.

Highlighting health infrastructure, he said a super-specialty block is being constructed at Jawaharlal Nehru Hospital, along with a facility to provide meals to patients’ attendants at just ₹1. In education, the government has announced the setting up of an RIT institute in Ajmer on the lines of IIT, which will establish the city as a hub of engineering education.

Devnani also shared that upcoming projects like an IT Park, Science Park, and Leopard Safari in Panchsheel will not only generate employment for local youth but also promote tourism. For administrative ease, a new municipal corporation office is being built in the area, now nearing completion. Additionally, Ajmer residents will benefit from the beautification of Varun Sagar Lake, an entry plaza, convention centre, Science Park, and Leopard Safari, turning them into new recreation and tourist spots.

The event was attended by local councillors, public representatives, and residents.
