National Commission for Scheduled Castes Reviews Safeguards in Service Sector for SC Communities
Jaipur, Aug 2025 : The National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC) reviewed the implementation of constitutional safeguards for Scheduled Castes in the state’s service sector on Tuesday. The review meeting was chaired by Commission Chairman Kishor Makwana and Member Vaddepalli Ramachander, who also issued necessary directives.
At the conference hall of the State Secretariat, Personnel Department Secretary Krishna Kant Pathak presented detailed information and data sought by the Commission through a point-wise presentation.
The meeting was attended by senior officials from several key departments, including Planning, Industries, Urban Governance, Finance, Cooperation, Medical Education, Medical and Health, Agriculture, Panchayati Raj, Staff Selection Commission, School and Sanskrit Education, among others.
During the presentation, Mr. Pathak highlighted the number of backlog posts reserved for Scheduled Castes across different departments over the past years. He assured the Commission that efforts would soon be undertaken to fill these backlog vacancies.
The discussions also covered key issues such as promotions, roster systems, and other service-related matters concerning Scheduled Caste employees in government jobs.
The meeting was also attended by Additional Chief Secretary, Social Justice and Empowerment Department, Mrs. Aparna Arora; Commission Secretary, G. Srinivas; Joint Secretary, H. Kam Suanthang; DIG (P), Mrs. Sanmeet Kaur; Director, Kaushal Kumar; and Director of Social Justice, Ashish Modi, along with other senior officials concerned.
