Mega Oil Palm Plantation Drive, Mamit District, 2025 Held

Aug 2025 : The Oil Palm Mega Plantation Drive, Mamit District 2025 was organized for oil palm farmers at ICCC Hall, Thuampui Veng, Zawlnuam. The event was graced by Pu K. Laltlawmlova, Deputy Commissioner of Mamit District, as the chief guest.

In his address, the Deputy Commissioner encouraged farmers to take full advantage of various government schemes for the development of Mamit District and to make themselves self-reliant, thereby setting an example for other districts.

The programme was chaired by Pu Ngurrinsanga Sailo, DAO Mamit. Agriculture Department officers provided important guidance to farmers regarding oil palm cultivation. From Godrej Agrovet Ltd., Pu Lalruatkima, Sr. Executive, also shared details about the company’s initiatives and support for oil palm farmers.

As part of the programme, the Deputy Commissioner flagged off the distribution of oil palm seedlings. Farmers present at the event also received seedlings directly for plantation.
