Administration on War Footing to Provide Relief in Rain-Affected Areas – District Collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni Monitoring Disaster Management
Jaipur, Sept 2025: Continuous rains in Jaipur district over the past few days have caused severe waterlogging, disrupting normal life in several areas. Acting on the directions of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, the district administration under the leadership of District Collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni is carrying out relief and rescue operations on a war footing.
Dr. Soni is closely monitoring the disaster management mission, directing that no negligence will be tolerated in relief efforts and strict action will be taken against any defaulting officials. Sub-divisional officers, tehsildars, and revenue officers have been deployed in affected regions to assess the situation and take necessary measures on the spot, with civil defense volunteers also assisting.
To accelerate rescue work, resources including JCB machines, pump sets, and safety equipment have been mobilized. People from severely affected areas have been shifted to safe locations, while ration kits and food packets are being distributed to impacted families. Warning boards have been placed in waterlogged and slippery areas, and public awareness is being raised through loudspeakers.
The administration is also assessing crop losses, with revenue teams conducting surveys in villages to ensure early compensation for farmers. The disaster management control room remains active to provide immediate assistance, with helplines (0141-2204475 and 0141-2204476) available for emergencies.
Dr. Soni appealed to the public to follow safety advisories and avoid waterlogged areas unnecessarily. Additional District Collector Santosh Kumar Meena confirmed that relief operations are being executed on a war footing, with the primary aim of safeguarding lives, providing maximum relief, and ensuring swift action during this disaster situation.
