CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Launches “Hello Haldwani 91.2 FM” Community Radio Mobile App
Sept 2025 : On Friday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched the “Hello Haldwani 91.2 FM” community radio mobile app from the Chief Minister’s Camp Office. He stated that this is an important initiative in the fields of education and culture in Uttarakhand. The Uttarakhand Open University has done remarkable work in extending education to remote areas and promoting innovation through modern technology.
The CM expressed confidence that the community radio app will now reach every corner of the state and the country, amplifying the voice of society and culture. He emphasized that education is not merely a means to obtain a degree but a foundation for life guidance and self-reliance. In line with this vision, higher education and skill development centers are being established in all 13 districts of the state, enabling youth to gain both education and employment-oriented skills.
He added that when universities and skill development centers work together, Uttarakhand’s youth will not only seek jobs but also create employment opportunities, contributing significantly to realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India).
The Chief Minister also announced the decision to establish a major center of Uttarakhand Open University in Dehradun, which will serve as a hub for education, training, research, innovation, and digital learning.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Naveen Chandra Lohani briefed the CM on various university activities and presented a cheque of ₹1,49,000 to the Chief Minister for the CM Relief Fund for disaster assistance.
The event was attended by Higher Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, Director General UCOST Prof. Durgesh Pant, Registrar of Uttarakhand Open University Khemraj Bhatt, and other university officials.
