District In-Charge Minister Jogaram Patel Directs Quick Relief for Rain-Affected People
Jaipur, Sept 2025 : Providing immediate relief to people affected by rain-related conditions is the top priority of the state government, and the administration must work with full sensitivity, said District In-Charge Minister Mr. Jogaram Patel while chairing a review meeting at the District Collectorate on Sunday.
He expressed deep condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the disaster and instructed officials to expedite the compensation approval process.
The meeting, held in the presence of Additional Chief Secretary Mr. Anand Kumar, reviewed the status of heavy rainfall-affected areas, progress of relief and rescue operations, timely assistance to affected citizens, crop-loss surveys, insurance claims, and compensation procedures. Officials were directed to maintain continuous monitoring of rain-hit regions, ensure quick delivery of relief materials and medical services, and carry out accurate assessments of crop and livestock losses so that timely aid reaches farmers and cattle rearers.
Mr. Patel stressed that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, the government is fully committed to providing rapid relief across all affected regions. He called for joint efforts by officials, public representatives, and citizens to ensure proper coordination and timely assistance. Alongside immediate relief, he emphasized the need for effective and permanent solutions to challenges posed by heavy rainfall.
He instructed that additional resources like pump sets, motors, and pipelines be deployed for speedy water drainage. For households inundated by water, arrangements for alternative shelters, food, and drinking water should be made. To prevent foul odors and potential disease outbreaks from waterlogging, fogging and disinfectant spraying must be carried out. He assured the public that surveys of water-damage will be conducted and maximum possible assistance extended by the government.
The meeting also reviewed initiatives under the Panch Gaurav Campaign and discussed preparations for the upcoming Gaon Chalo, Shehar Chalo Campaign and Cooperative Membership Drive, emphasizing wider public participation. Mr. Patel directed all departments to work in close coordination and ensure timely execution of government schemes and campaigns.
The review meeting was attended by District Collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni, Superintendent of Police Ms. Rashi Dogra, Jaipur Heritage Municipal Commissioner Ms. Nidhi Patel, Jaipur Greater Municipal Commissioner Mr. Gaurav Saini, CEO Ms. Pratibha Singh, Traffic Police Officer Mr. Sumit Mehrada, and Additional District Collectors Mr. Gopal Singh Shekhawat, Mr. Santosh Meena, Mr. Mukesh Kumar Mund, Mr. Devendra Kumar Jain, and Mr. Gopal Parihar, along with senior officials from JDA, Municipal Corporations, Zila Parishad, Police, RIICO, Tourism, NHAI, Animal Husbandry, IT, Education, Health, PWD, JVVNL, Cooperatives, and other departments.
