Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Laxmi Rajwade Conducts Surprise Inspection of Dharsedi Anganwadi Centre
Reviewed nutrition, cleanliness, and services provided to children
Raipur, Sept 2025 : Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Laxmi Rajwade today visited village Dharsedi in Bhatgaon Assembly constituency of Surajpur district. During her visit, she conducted a surprise inspection of the Anganwadi centre.

Minister Rajwade closely examined the quality and availability of nutritional meals provided to the children. She also reviewed the cleanliness of the premises, children’s attendance, learning-through-play arrangements, and the presence of Anganwadi workers.
She instructed Anganwadi workers and assistants to ensure timely distribution of nutritious meals to children and to maintain cleanliness at the centre. Emphasizing the importance of Anganwadi centres, she said they form the foundation for the physical and mental development of children, and therefore, no negligence in services would be tolerated.
The minister further directed officials to guarantee timely supply of supplementary nutrition, immunization, and other essential services to registered children. She also stressed the need to ensure that pregnant and lactating mothers receive benefits of welfare schemes without delay, with special monitoring in place.
During her visit, Smt. Rajwade also interacted with local villagers to gather feedback on the centre’s functioning. She encouraged them to take full advantage of government schemes related to children’s education and nutrition. She reaffirmed that the state government is committed to the health, education, and nutrition of women and children, and continuous efforts are being made in this direction.
Local public representatives, departmental officers, and villagers were present during the inspection.
