‘Shriganesha Arogyacha’ Initiative Provides Free Health Check-Ups for 7.04 Lakh Citizens; 16,798 Donate Blood
Mumbai, Sept 2025 : On the occasion of Ganeshotsav, the special health initiative ‘Shriganesha Arogyacha’ conceptualized by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis received an overwhelming response across Maharashtra. Organized by the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund and the Charitable Hospitals Help Desk, with the support of various health institutions, this campaign delivered free healthcare services to lakhs of citizens.
Between August 28 and September 6, 2025, a total of 12,655 health camps were held in every district of the state. Through these camps, 7,04,073 citizens underwent free health check-ups. Among them, 18,800 patients diagnosed with ailments were referred to specialists for further treatment. Citizens also actively participated in blood donation drives—236 camps collected blood from 16,798 donors, fulfilling a vital social responsibility.
The campaign witnessed strong participation from experts and healthcare staff associated with the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, Charitable Hospitals Help Desk, Mahatma Phule Jan Arogya Yojana, government medical colleges, district hospitals, and charitable hospitals. Ganesh mandals across the state enthusiastically supported the initiative, helping make it more effective and people-centric.

Organizing health check-up camps during a major festival like Ganeshotsav was an innovative idea of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, successfully implemented across Maharashtra.
