Workers Should Utilize Various Schemes – Guardian Minister Dr. Suresh Khade
Sangli : Numerous schemes are being implemented to support poor workers, ensuring they receive significant assistance and their children access quality education. Efforts are ongoing to enroll as many construction workers as possible to provide benefits under these schemes, as stated by Labor Minister and Guardian Minister of Sangli District Dr. Suresh Khade.
He was speaking at a labor meeting organized at Balgandharva Natyamandir Miraj under the auspices of the Maharashtra Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, Mumbai, and the Maharashtra Workers Welfare Board. Present on this occasion were Welfare Commissioner of the Maharashtra Labor Welfare Board Raviraj Ilve, Assistant Welfare Commissioner Manoj Patil in charge of Pune Division, Assistant Labor Commissioner M. Dilip Jadhav, Honorary Member of the Maharashtra Kalyan Mandal Employees Association Suresh Kesarkar, President of the State Skilled Workers Association, former Corporator Yogendra Thorat, and various trade union officials.
Guardian Minister Dr. Suresh Khade highlighted the implementation of safety kits for construction workers, health services, scholarships for workers’ children, funding for textbooks, and critical illness treatment. He emphasized efforts to help workers’ children become doctors, receive good education, and have opportunities in sports. Plans include establishing a labor building and ESI hospital in each district and a well-equipped multipurpose hospital in Sangli.
On this occasion, Dr. Suresh Khade distributed household items, safety, and essential kits to construction workers and handed out checks to beneficiary workers under various schemes.
Dilip Jadhav, Honorary Member of the Maharashtra Welfare Board Employees Association, and Suresh Kesarkar, President of the State Skilled Workers Association, also spoke at the event. Raviraj Ilve, Welfare Commissioner of the Maharashtra Labor Welfare Board, gave the introductory remarks. The program was moderated by Mayuri Parab and concluded with a vote of thanks by Assistant Labor Commissioner M. Mujawar.
The event began with a ceremonial lamp lighting by dignitaries. Dr. G. S. Patil provided guidance on first aid. The program saw significant attendance from officials and workers of the Maharashtra Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.
