Additional Chief Secretary Reviews Preparations for “Shahar Chalo/Gramin Seva Shivir–2025” and Social Welfare Week, Issues Key Guidelines
Jaipur, Sept 2025: Smt. Aparna Arora, Additional Chief Secretary of the Department of Social Justice & Empowerment, held a video conference on Wednesday with district officials across the state to review preparations and provide necessary instructions.
The meeting, chaired by the Additional Chief Secretary at the Ambedkar Bhawan auditorium, focused on the state government’s flagship campaigns—Shahar Chalo/Gramin Seva Shivir–2025 and Social Welfare Week (1–7 October 2025). Preparations for these initiatives were reviewed, along with updates on scholarships, hostels, residential schools, de-addiction centers, old-age homes, and other institutions. Progress of various schemes, including new applications under the Chief Minister’s Anuprati Scheme for 2025–26, was also discussed.
Smt. Arora directed officials to ensure 100% verification under the Social Security Pension Scheme, identify eligible beneficiaries and exclude ineligible ones, identify children eligible under the Palanhar Scheme and renew them for 2025–26, facilitate new applications under the Chief Minister Kanyadan Scheme, and resolve pending application objections. She also instructed the issuance of UDID certificates and cards for specially-abled individuals, tagging of assistive devices, and selection of potential beneficiaries for device distribution.
Director and Joint Secretary Shri Ashish Modi highlighted that the government’s campaigns provide a better platform for quick resolution of departmental issues and effective delivery of benefits to the public. Officials were instructed to ensure extensive publicity of schemes, resolve grievances of eligible beneficiaries, and submit daily progress reports. Participation of NGOs and local bodies during Social Welfare Week was also emphasized.
The meeting was attended by Commissioner, Directorate of Specially Abled Shri Kesar Lal Meena, Financial Advisor Smt. Anju Singh, Additional Director Shri Harisingh Meena, and other concerned officials.
