MP Students Should Excel at National and International Levels: CM Dr. Yadav
Bhopal, Sept 2025 : Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that under the leadership and guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, children today have an opportunity for a better future. Students in Madhya Pradesh are receiving various benefits, including scooters, laptops, bicycles, notebooks and study material. In this sequence, 7,832 school toppers of the Class 12 Board examinations have been awarded scooters through the School Education Department. CM Dr. Yadav said these scooters are in line with Prime Minister Modi’s vision, providing talented students with the means to move ahead faster. He said, “We want to see these students not only riding scooters but also moving ahead in life as ministers, officers and administrators serving society and the nation.” The Chief Minister addressed the program held at the Kushabhau Thakre International Convention Center, where scooters were distributed to meritorious students and more than ₹61 crore was transferred to benefit over 20 lakh girl students for sanitation and hygiene assistance. CM Dr. Yadav also rode on the scooter of student Harshita, greeted the students, and interacted with them. Beneficiary students also took a group photograph with him.
Global Platforms Attain Dignity with PM Modi’s Presence
CM Dr. Yadav said that this is India’s time in the world. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the nation is moving towards building a self-reliant India rooted in indigenous values. He noted
that Indians have historically proved their strength in adverse circumstances, with Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose being a prime example, establishing the prestige of Indian identity globally even under British rule. The Chief Minister said the strength of Indian democracy lies in enabling even a common citizen to rise to the nation’s highest office, with Prime Minister Modi as the finest example. Today, the presence of Prime Minister Modi enhances the dignity of every major international platform. He further said that the world now looks to India with hope, recognising its leadership in adopting new technologies. The country is advancing in every field, including space science, while Prime Minister Modi consistently promotes innovation, discovery, and scientific endeavor. CM Dr. Yadav urged students to have faith in themselves, remain persistent, and continue striving for success.
Continuous Improvement in Government Schools
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that government schools in Madhya Pradesh are continuously improving. The state government is committed to providing all essential facilities for children and ensuring
they receive top-quality educational infrastructure and learning experiences. To this end, Sandipani Schools are being established across the state. CM Dr. Yadav recalled that during the tenure of former Prime Minister Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee, a network of roads was developed, and significant work was undertaken in the education sector. He emphasized that the nation-building examples set by Japan and Israel are exemplary models for youth. The state government is making every effort to expand irrigation coverage, which has now reached 5.2 million hectares. Madhya Pradesh is also home to the world’s first river-linking initiative, the Ken-Betwa Link Project, whose foundation stone was laid by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
Laptops Distributed to Over 5 Lakh Students
The Chief Minister said that in the last 15 years, the state government has distributed laptops worth ₹1,300 crore to over 5 lakh students, and bicycles worth nearly ₹3,000 crore to more than 1 crore students. Till date, 23,000 school toppers have been given scooters worth ₹250 crore. He said that youth of Madhya Pradesh should not remain job seekers but become job creators, and therefore the state government is running a campaign for industrialization. He informed that Prime Minister Modi will visit Dhar on September 17 to lay the foundation stone of the country’s first PM Mitra Park at Badnawar. Earlier, during the Global Investors Summit in Bhopal (February 2025), Prime Minister Modi’s presence brought investment proposals worth ₹30.77 lakh crore to Madhya Pradesh.
Symbolically Handed Over the Keys of Scooty to Students
At the program, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav symbolically handed over scooter keys to ten students — Pranjal Kushwaha, Komal Pathak, Mehndi Hasan, Rishika Bagoria, Raj Gond, Harshita, Abhishek Gupta,
Yasmeen, Rohit Ahirwar and Palak Bhilala. He also transferred over ₹61 crore in a single click to the bank accounts of 20.37 lakh girl students of classes 7 to 12 under the Samagra Shiksha Scheme for sanitation and hygiene. Each student receives ₹300 annually under this initiative. CM Dr. Yadav transferred ₹7 crore in stipend amounts to the accounts of more than 20,000 girl students. Under the Kasturba Gandhi Girls’ Hostel (Type IV) scheme, resident girls receive ₹3,400 annually for TLM and stipend support. School Education Minister Shri Uday Pratap Singh described the day as a festival for students, with toppers receiving scooters. He urged them to obtain learning licenses and follow the guidance of teachers and parents. Cooperation and Sports Minister Shri Vishwas Kailash Sarang said that the double-engine government in Madhya Pradesh is setting new benchmarks of development, with the Sandipani School model receiving wide appreciation. Tribal Welfare Minister Dr. Kunwar Vijay Shah reiterated the government’s commitment to holistic development. Mayor of Bhopal Smt. Malti Rai, District President Shri Ravindra Yati, senior officials of the School Education Department, along with a large number of students and parents, were present. The program was also joined virtually by all districts.
Today is a Festival for Students: School Education Minister Shri Singh
School Education Minister Shri Uday Pratap Singh said that today is like a festival for students. He said that Chief Minister Dr. Yadav always encourages children, and now school toppers are being rewarded with scooters. He advised students to secure learning licenses before riding scooters and to follow the guidance of teachers and parents. He further noted that the Chief Minister is making continuous efforts for youth employment, alongside initiatives to expand industries in the state.
Cooperation and Sports Minister Shri Vishwas Kailash Sarang said the double-engine government in Madhya Pradesh is working rapidly, setting new milestones in development. The ‘Sandipani School’ model has been widely appreciated, with many parents eager to enroll their children. He emphasised that quality education and good health are the pillars of a strong society.
The state-level program was attended by the Mayor of Bhopal Smt. Malti Rai, District President Shri Ravindra Yati, officials of the School Education Department, and a large number of students and parents. All districts also joined the event virtually.
Scooters for Toppers Since 2022
It is noteworthy that since 2022, under this scheme, toppers of Class 12 in government higher secondary schools of the School Education Department and Tribal Welfare Department have been awarded
scooters. A grant of ₹90,000 is given for petrol scooters and ₹1.20 lakh for e-scooters.
Under the scheme, the school topper (boy or girl) in single-gender schools and one boy and one girl in co-ed schools are eligible for the benefit each year.
