₹50 Crore MD Drug Factory Busted in Pratapgarh: Most Wanted Smuggler Jammu Lala Arrested

Jaipur, Sept 2025: A team from the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) Police Headquarters, in coordination with Pipalkhunt Police Station and DST, has uncovered an illegal MD drug manufacturing factory in Pratapgarh district. The operation led to the arrest of Jamshed alias Jammu Lala, a 33-year-old most-wanted smuggler with a bounty of ₹25,000. Authorities seized 17.4 kg of MD powder, 70 kg of chemicals, and various equipment used in drug production. The seized contraband is estimated to be worth around ₹50 crore in the international market.

The operation was carried out under the direction of ADG Police Crime Shri Dinesh MN, supervision of IGP Shri Deepak Bhargav and Addl. SP Shri Asha Ram Chaudhary and Shri Siddhant Sharma, and led on the ground by Pratapgarh SP B. Aditya. The AGTF has been actively conducting intelligence-based operations against gangsters and smugglers, and this raid is part of that ongoing effort.

Intelligence and Planning

The team, including Head Constable Mahavir Singh and Constable Narendra Patidar, received input regarding the smuggler’s activities. After several days of surveillance, they confirmed that Jamshed was producing MD drugs at a hut in Tanda Bara and Sarhad Bori Mozal. The local police and DST were notified, and a raid was carried out successfully.

Seizure Worth ₹50 Crore

During the raid, authorities arrested Jamshed alias Jammu Lala, son of Fakirgul Pathan, resident of Devaldi, Thana Arnod, and recovered approximately 17.4 kg MD powder, over 70 kg of chemicals, and drug-making equipment, registering a case under the NDPS Act.

Previous Seizure of MD Drugs Worth ₹40 Crore

On December 16, 2024, AGTF and Arnod Police had raided Devaldi village, seizing 11.45 kg of liquid MDMA, 14.77 kg other liquid chemicals, 4.9 kg chemicals, and 2.5 kg white powder, along with equipment used for MD production. At that time, the accused Yakub, Jamshed alias Jammu Lala, and Sahil had fled, with a bounty of ₹25,000 announced for each.

Freezing of Illegal Property

During investigation, police discovered that Yakub Khan had acquired illegal assets through drug trafficking. Financial checks revealed he purchased a hotel/lodge in Husain Tekri area, Jawara, Madhya Pradesh, in 2024 in the name of his wife, valued at ₹1 crore. Following government directives under NDPS Act Section 68F(1), the property was frozen on August 28, 2025.

Key Role of the Joint Team

Head Constable Mahavir Singh and Constable Narendra Patidar of AGTF played a key role. From Pratapgarh DST, SI Ravindra Patidar, SI Pannalal, ASI Pratap Singh, and constables Vinod, Narendra Singh, Pankaj, Ramesh Chand, Hemendra Singh, Sandeep, Ramesh Chand, Arvind Singh contributed significantly. SHO Pipalkhunt Naresh Patidar and his team also participated in the operation.
