Ajmer Divisional Commissioner Inspects Flood-Affected Areas, Discusses Relief Measures with Victims
Jaipur, Sept 2025: Ajmer Divisional Commissioner Shri Shakti Singh Rathore visited the areas affected by waterlogging caused by the breach of the Boraj pond embankment in Ajmer district on Thursday. He reached Swastik Nagar and surrounding colonies, met with flood-affected families, and listened to their problems.
The Divisional Commissioner encouraged the affected families after observing the damage to their houses. He assured that eligible families would be provided compensation promptly based on survey findings.
He inspected the Boraj pond embankment and instructed officials to ensure a strong drainage system to prevent future flooding and to prioritize the repair of the embankment.
The Commissioner also reviewed ongoing relief and rescue operations in the affected areas, including arrangements for food, water, medicines, and other essential services, emphasizing that no family should be deprived of necessary assistance.
He inspected the service center set up for compensation applications and interacted with people present at the site. He stated that the state government would assess the damages as per norms and provide assistance accordingly.
On this occasion, Sub-Divisional Officer Garima Narula, Deputy Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Anita Chaudhary, Tehsildar Om Singh, and other departmental officials were present.
