Ritu Rajak Becomes Self-Reliant by Starting a Clothing Business
Raipur, Sept 2025 : Ritu Rajak has set an inspiring example by becoming self-reliant through her clothing business. A resident of Duldula development block in Jashpur district, she joined the Deepak Self-Help Group and, through group activities, gained knowledge about government schemes.
In the beginning, she borrowed ₹10,000 from the village organization and ₹40,000 from her group’s bank loan to start her clothing business. With initial success, she later expanded her venture by availing a ₹2 lakh loan under the Prime Minister’s Mudra Yojana with technical support from Sadhan Sanstha through the Rural Bank in Duldula.
Under the able leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai and effective implementation of state government schemes, women in the district are creating a new identity on the path to self-reliance. Through the Bihan Yojana, rural women are strengthening their economic condition by joining self-help groups and successfully managing their family responsibilities.
Today, Mrs. Ritu Rajak’s clothing business is running successfully, earning her an income of ₹20,000 to ₹25,000 per month. With hard work and self-reliance, she has earned recognition as a “Lakhpati Didi.” Mrs. Ritu Rajak has expressed her gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai for this achievement.
