Second Monday of Shravan to see Baba’s Gauri Shankar form at Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham

Varanasi : On the second Monday of the Shravan month, Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham will see Lord Shiva (Baba) adorned in the divine Gauri Shankar form. Devotees will witness Baba in the form of Shankar Parvati. To ensure that devotees can easily reach Shri Visheshwar’s doorstep and perform Jalabhishek, the Yogi government is continuously enhancing the arrangements.

Every Monday during Shravan, the temple decorates Visheshwar in different forms, and July 29 marks the second Monday of this holy month.

This year, there are five Mondays in Sawan, and Lord Shiva appears in a new form each week. Starting from the second Monday of Sawan, a line will be set up to manage the crowd effectively.

Barriers have been placed every 50 meters to control the flow, and devotees will be allowed entry based on the capacity of the Dham.

First Monday of Shravan also saw special decorations

On the first Monday of Shravan, Baba Vishwanath was also adorned in a special form.

Vishwabhushan Mishra, the Chief Executive Officer of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham, informed that on the second Monday of Shravan, Lord Mahadev will be adorned in the form of Gauri Shankar (Shankar Parvati). Devotees will be able to see Baba in this special form.

Special attention to devotion and safety as directed by CM

On the second Monday of Shravan, a single line system has been implemented by integrating queue arrangements from all entry routes, ensuring that devotees do not face crowding in the lines.

Barriers have been placed every 50 meters to control the queue. Devotees will be allowed entry based on the capacity of the barricades set up at the Dham.

Similar to the first Monday of Shravan, on the second Monday, devotees will be able to reach Baba’s sanctum sanctorum from entry routes like Nandufaria, Silko Gali, Dhundiraj Ganesh, Lalita Ghat, and Saraswati Phatak.

CM Yogi visited Baba Vishwanath on the first Monday and instructed all officials to pay special attention to both the faith and the safety of the devotees.
