“Follow Traffic Rules, Every Life Matters” – Deputy CM Diya Kumari at Conclusion of Susma Campaign and Engineers’ Day Celebration
Jaipur, Sept 2025: Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari has called upon citizens to actively promote road safety by stopping and encouraging riders without helmets to wear one, stressing that the issue is not merely about fines but about protecting lives. She was addressing the closing ceremony of the Susma Campaign and the Engineers’ Day celebration, held at the AICTE Centre auditorium, Jhalana, Jaipur, where she attended as the Chief Guest.
She emphasized that the public has a vital role in spreading awareness among those who do not follow traffic rules. Praising the Safe Road Campaign, she said it is directly connected with people’s lives. She particularly appreciated the efforts of engineers from the Public Works Department, especially women engineers, for conducting a historic awareness drive across schools and colleges in the state. She congratulated Chief Engineer (Quality Control) Jaswant Khatri and all engineers for their contribution.
Turning the Campaign into a Mass Movement
The Deputy CM said that since the campaign is directly linked to the safety of common people, all legislators and Members of Parliament will be urged to share its key highlights on their social media accounts, making it a people’s movement.
She further directed all engineers to inspect roads twice a week, adding that the responsibility does not end with signing files; rather, engineers must inspect ongoing and completed road projects and submit weekly reports. On this occasion, Deputy CM Diya Kumari and State Minister Manju Baghmar extended greetings to all engineers on Engineers’ Day.
