CM Vishnudev Sai Announces Major Gift: High-Level Bridge to be Built on the Ib River
Long-pending demand fulfilled; construction to cost ₹9.18 crore
Raipur, Sept 2025 : Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai has announced a major development project — the construction of a high-level bridge over the Ib River along with an approach road on the Dhaurasand–Daijbahar route. The project, approved at an administrative cost of ₹9.18 crore, will soon commence after the completion of the tender process. Under his leadership, developmental works in the state are gaining new momentum. For the people of the Farsabahar region in Jashpur district, this long-awaited project comes as nothing short of a boon. Once completed, the bridge will directly benefit thousands of villagers by fulfilling a decades-old demand.
Greater ease of travel
The construction of this high-level bridge will drastically reduce distances between villages such as Daijbahar, Barkashpali, Sajbahar, Bamhanmara, Tapkara, Dhaurasand, Khutgaon, Banagaon, Hetghicha, and Tuba. Villagers will no longer need to take lengthy detours, thereby saving both time and resources.
Direct connectivity with Odisha and Jharkhand
Beyond local convenience, the bridge holds significant regional importance. It will become a key connecting route linking Chhattisgarh directly with Odisha and Jharkhand. This enhanced connectivity is expected to boost trade, education, healthcare access, and employment opportunities in the region.
Gratitude expressed by locals
Villagers from the Farsabahar region have expressed heartfelt gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai for approving the long-pending bridge project. They believe the bridge will not only ease their daily lives but also pave the way for the all-round development of the area.
