Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan Launched In Champhai

Champhai, Sept 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan today. The launching of the scheme and the Prime Minister’s speech were attended through video conferencing by officials of Champhai District at the DC Conference Hall. This was followed by a launching of the same in Champhai District with the Deputy Commissioner of Champhai Mr. Mohammad Aaquib as chief guest.

Chief Guest Mr. Mohammad Aaquib expressed his gratitude at the launching of Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan which he believed would be of great importance to ensure proper health, nutrition and empowerment for women and children. He noted that the health of a mother can define the health of a family and urged the people of Champhai to recognize the value of this scheme, as it could be a catalyst for women and children to not only have good health, but also to get proper education and enjoy a successful career.

This event was chaired by Chief Medical Officer Dr. Lalniliana. Dy. CMO Dr. Lalramhluna explained the aims and objectives of the scheme, and the plan for it’s implementation in Champhai district. District Medical Superintendent Dr. Zatluanga closed the event with a vote of thanks.

Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan is a flagship initiative of the Ministry of Health and the Family Welfare (MoH&FW) in conjuction with the Ministry of Women in Child Development. It aims to strengthen healthcare services for women and children across India, with a focus on improving access, quality care, and awareness. It will start in Champhai from the 17th September till 2nd October, where various health institutions – Community Health Centres, Primary Health Centres, Urban Primary Health Centres leh Health and Welness Centres within Champhai will be studied and scrutinized for their healthcare services towards women and children.
