Minister Pu C. Lalsawivunga Inaugurates Training and Orientation Program for Youth Leaders
Sept 2025 : A training and orientation program for youth leaders organized by the Pang Zirlai Pawl (PZP), Joint Headquarters, Aizawl was inaugurated on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the I&PR Auditorium, Treasury Square, Aizawl by District Council & Minority Affairs (DC & MA) Minister Pu C. Lalsawivunga. Pu Malsawmzuala, Chairman of MYC, presided over the event.
Addressing the program, Minister Pu C. Lalsawivunga emphasized the importance of nurturing responsible youth to lead various communities in Mizoram, saying, “Our society has diversity, but through unity and proper guidance, we can cultivate responsible and disciplined citizens. It is vital to raise our youth to understand both the rights and duties of individuals, and to contribute meaningfully to society and the state.” He stressed the role of youth in strengthening societal foundations and the importance of proper training for leadership, particularly in remote areas, encouraging them to gain knowledge and skills to serve the state and society effectively.

The Minister further highlighted that the training is not just about administrative knowledge but also about building ethical and responsible leaders. Participants are being taught to serve without bias, act with humility, and take initiatives for the betterment of their communities. The program also aims to prepare youth for Central services and leadership roles, emphasizing values such as integrity, public service, and social responsibility. Special attention is given to guiding Christian youth in understanding ethical principles, social responsibility, and community welfare.
During the event, MYC Chairman Pu Malsawmzuala outlined the objectives of the youth leader training and orientation program. Leaders and members from various organizations including MZP, MSU, and other affiliated youth groups such as LSA, MBSA, MSO, HSA, RSU, and SSPP attended and actively participated in the program.
The program was officially inaugurated by PZP Vice President Pu Fellic Zaihmingthanga, with Rev. C. Ramsangvawra offering the invocation and Secretary Pu Joshua Lalvensanga presenting the report. Key PZP officials, including President Pu Vanlalfakhlua and Pu Albin Lalhruaitluanga, along with the General Headquarters President, were also present to provide guidance and oversight for the initiative.
