CM Bhajanlal Sharma Reviews Urban Service Camps in Banswara, Highlights Double Engine Government’s Focus on Wagad Region’s Development
Jaipur, Sept 2025: Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma stated that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Rajasthan has received significant developmental initiatives. Through various welfare and development schemes, local residents in Banswara, Dungarpur, and the entire tribal region are receiving employment opportunities, improving their standard of living. He emphasized that the double engine government is committed to the foundational development of the Wagad region.
On Saturday, the Chief Minister visited the Urban Service Camp at Kushalbagh Cricket Stadium, Banswara, where he also distributed nutrition kits to the families of TB patients. Addressing the public, he noted that from 17 September, on the occasion of Prime Minister Modi’s birthday, the government has been conducting urban and rural service camps across the state. These camps aim to realize Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay’s Antyodaya vision and prioritize public welfare work. He stated that even people at the “last mile” are now benefiting from government schemes.
Highlighting public health initiatives, the Chief Minister called the TB-Free India campaign a national mission. He urged anyone experiencing cough, fever, weight loss, or breathing difficulty to immediately visit the camps for screening and treatment. Under the Healthy Women, Empowered Families campaign, women are receiving tests for blood pressure, diabetes, cancer, anemia, TB, and sickle cell disease at these camps.
Shri Sharma noted that all essential citizen services—such as birth and death certificates, caste and income certificates, pension registrations, and ration cards—are being processed at the camps. Urban sanitation efforts, street repairs, sewer maintenance, and the restoration of non-functional streetlights are also being addressed. Parks are being developed, and in rural camps, land ownership documents and farmer surveys are being facilitated. Priority is also given to maternal and child health, TB eradication, animal care, and school and road maintenance.
He added that under the Chief Minister Ayushman Arogya Yojana, families can avail free treatment up to ₹25 lakh, and schemes like the Kisan Samman Nidhi and Gopal Credit Card empower farmers and livestock owners. Educational and welfare initiatives such as scooty distribution for meritorious students and milk distribution in Anganwadi centers are also ongoing.
During the program, the Chief Minister distributed nutrition kits to TB patients’ families, handed over cheques to beneficiaries of urban housing and financial schemes, and provided insurance policies and certificates under the Mangla Animal Insurance and Food Security schemes.
The event was attended by Tribal Area Development Minister Babulal Kharadi, MLAs Kailash Meena and Shankarlal Decha, Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant, local representatives, officials, and a large number of citizens.
