Lucknow, Sept 2025 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given GST reform as a Diwali gift to every citizen of the country and the state. On one hand, huge exemptions have been given on essential items like educational material for students, milk, curd, ghee, paneer, and food items, while on the other hand, heavy taxes have been imposed on drugs and extravagance. To give wings to the dreams of youth, exemptions have also been given on bikes, cars, houses, and items used in houses like steel and cement. This announcement was made by the GST Council on September 3, which is being implemented across the country from September 22. On Vijayadashami, in every village, every town, and every district, the youth will have to burn effigies of sin, atrocities, corruption, injustice, and drugs. These things were said by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath while inaugurating the Namo Youth Run for a drug-free India at his residence on Sunday. The Namo Marathon started from Kalidas Marg and went up to 1090 intersection. On this occasion, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath encouraged the youth with chants of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai.”

GST reform will increase the purchasing capacity of every person and the strength of the market
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that GST reform will free every poor person of the country and the state from inflation and youth will be able to buy educational materials at low cost. At the same time, the purchasing capacity of every person will increase, the strength of the market will increase, new employment will be created, the individual will get help to move forward, and new opportunities for employment will also be available. He said that along with providing relief to the poor, it is also connected with providing all types of facilities to the common consumer and with the path of welfare of traders. In such a situation, every citizen of the state should be made aware of GST reform. CM Yogi said that from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday on September 17 till October 2, i.e. the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, the Bharatiya Janata Party is celebrating “Seva Pakhwada” across the country. This Seva Pakhwada was inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi from Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, with the theme “Healthy Woman, Empowered Society.” The Prime Minister clearly believes that if women are healthy, families will be strong, society will be strong, and the nation will also become strong. Based on this thinking, the Seva Pakhwada program is establishing a new milestone across the country. On this occasion, workers of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha organized blood donation camps in every district and took the program to new heights. Along with blood donation, BJP workers also accelerated cleanliness campaigns across the country. Through health camps and cleanliness programs, Seva Pakhwada is being carried forward connecting it with the concept of “Developed India.”

Youth power is connecting with Namo Marathon under Seva Pakhwada
CM Yogi said that on the occasion of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav,” the Prime Minister had called upon the countrymen to take a pledge of “Developed India” and to move forward with the Panch Pran. He had said that traces of slavery have to be eliminated, our heritage has to be respected, there must be respect for the army and uniformed forces, work has to be done for building social equality, and citizens must sincerely fulfill their civic duties. These Panch Pran will make Indians the charioteers of the journey of a developed India. He said that with this inspiration of the Prime Minister, Uttar Pradesh decided to move forward with the “Developed India–Developed Uttar Pradesh” campaign. The campaign is receiving immense support from the youth, farmers, laborers, traders, and intellectuals of the state. Every person is ready to contribute in their field. Describing self-reliance as the key to development, he said that a self-reliant society is built only from a healthy society, and events like the “Namo Marathon” give new direction to society. After 2014, the Prime Minister accelerated several campaigns related to health and youth welfare in the country. International recognition was given to World Yoga Day, and campaigns like “Khelo India,” “Fit India Movement,” and “MP Sports Competitions” inspired the youth. Along with this, opportunities were ensured for the youth through “Mission Rojgar.” Today, the same youth power is connecting with “Namo Marathon” under Seva Pakhwada.

If youth power moves forward, it is pride for the nation; if it turns towards drugs, it is its downfall
Addressing the youth, the Chief Minister said that youth power is a symbol of immense energy. If it moves in a positive direction, it will prove beneficial for the nation, but if it turns towards drugs, its downfall is certain. Through “Namo Marathon,” a call for drug de-addiction is also being made to the youth. Programs are being continuously organized from September 17 to October 2. Special events will be organized on September 25 on the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay and on October 2 on the birth anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri. In this sequence, the Namo Marathon is being organized, in which youth wing workers and students are actively participating. Coincidentally, this year Vijayadashami also falls on October 2.
