Chaos under the guise of ‘I Love Muhammad’ will be crushed like ‘Chand-Mund’: Yogi Adityanath

Ramayana recitations will be held in temples across the state with the support of the department of culture and tourism

Shravasti, Sept 2025 : In Shravasti, during the foundation stone laying and inauguration of development projects worth Rs 510 crore, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath issued a strong warning against the misuse of ‘I Love Muhammad’ slogans for disruptive purposes. He said certain individuals cannot tolerate peace and welfare, and their arrogance rises during Hindu festivals. “To curb this arrogance, we have to take firm action,” the CM added.

Referring to such miscreants as Chand-Mund, CM Yogi said, “Just as Goddess Bhagwati crushed Chand-Mund, similar action will be taken against those who disturb society—a message that will set an example for generations.” He further emphasized that Sanatan Dharma respects everyone, but for those who disregard its values, the message is clear: ‘Na Chhutoge Na Chhut Paoge’.

CM Yogi also announced a state holiday on October 7 to mark Maharishi Valmiki’s birth anniversary. He added that Ramayana recitations will be organized in every temple across the state with support from the Department of Culture and Tourism.

CM Yogi Adityanath said: “In Islam, they oppose idol worship, that is their philosophy. We are idol worshippers; we worship both the formless and the embodied Brahman. Those who try to create disorder during Sharadiya Navratri and Vijayadashami are acting like Chand-Mund, which Goddess Bhagwati will never tolerate. She only crushes such Chand and Mund. That is why Sanatan followers worship Goddess Durga to gain strength.”

He stressed that worship is a personal, internal matter, not something for street demonstrations. Therefore, the use of loudspeakers at religious places remains banned in Uttar Pradesh. “Disorder will never be accepted,” he declared.

CM Yogi also said “We will give respect to all, we will give security to all, but if anyone indulges in rioting or arson in the name of faith, they must be ready to face the consequences. Those who attack common citizens, harass daughters, attack traders or police, we will neither spare them nor allow them to escape. Those who dare to set shops and establishments on fire will face such strong action that it will become an example not only for them but for their generations.”
He warned those “cowards hiding behind women and children” that they will have to pay a heavy price.

He also said that today, under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, India is giving the message of development to the world. But some people cannot tolerate peace. Great personalities from any tradition deserve respect, but faith is a matter of conscience, not display. There will be no freedom for creating disturbances at crossroads. The ban on loudspeakers will remain in force in Uttar Pradesh. Taliban-style rule and Dar-ul-Islam rule will not be available even in hell.

He stated further that the double-engine government is working without discrimination to provide facilities, respect, and protection to all. “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” is our motto. Shravasti is getting an airport; tourists from across the world will come, and this will boost development. This is New India’s New Uttar Pradesh, which knows how to deal with miscreants and mafias.

Attacking the previous governments of SP, BSP, and Congress, he said those days are gone when looting and joining hands with mafias was the trend. “We do not tolerate lawlessness, and if anyone indulges in it, we know how to run bulldozers over their chest.”

“Today we are witnessing New India, with a new aura of development and heritage. Every Sanatani said only one thing: ‘Ram Lalla, Hum Ayenge Mandir Wahi Banyenge.’ The temple has been built, and Ayodhya is now emerging as a new hub on the tourism map. On October 19, once again a grand Deepotsav will be organized. I appeal to everyone to light lamps in their homes. The richer Indian culture becomes, the stronger India will be, and this will pave the way for global welfare. Under PM Modi’s leadership, India is delivering this very message to the world.”, the CM said.

Referring to the wolf terror in Kaiserganj, CM Yogi said people in Shravasti, Bahraich, Gonda, and Balrampur who do not yet have houses will be provided homes, and surveys are ongoing. Those without ration cards or Ayushman cards will be issued soon, and assistance will also be provided from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

The CM said, “On the sacred land of Shravasti, we are announcing a holiday on October 7 for Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti. On this day, uninterrupted recitations of Ramayana, authored by Maharishi Valmiki, will be held in every temple, organized by the tourism and culture department.”

He expressed happiness, saying: “It is a blissful experience to see Shravasti, the holy land of Mata Sita and Maharishi Valmiki, moving forward with development.” He mentioned PM Modi naming Ayodhya’s international airport after Maharishi Valmiki and said Valmiki is a symbol of faith. Through the Ramayana, the first original Sanskrit epic, Maharishi Valmiki gave people a text that paves the path of progress in both this world and the next.

“On this sacred occasion of Sharadiya Navratri, I bow to the holy land of Mata Janaki and Maharishi Valmiki. This district has held importance since ancient times. Shravasti was made the capital by Lord Ram’s son Lav, providing the nation with security. It was here that Lord Buddha, after attaining enlightenment, spent the Chaturmas period. The Jain Tirthankara Lord Sambhavnath was also born here, and King Suheldev defeated invaders like Salar Masud on this land. During Chandragupta’s era, Shravasti was the centre of India’s economic activities”, the CM said.

The CM presented a cheque of Rs 5 lakh each to Rajkumari, wife of late Ramkumar, and Kamli, wife of late Nanke, under the Mukhyamantri Krishak Durghatna Kalyan Yojana. Flood-affected Shivram and Sarvjeet were given cheques of Rs 1.20 lakh each.

Under the Mukhyamantri Yuva Swarozgar Yojana, Satyendra Kumar was given Rs 10 lakh and Alok Kumar Rs 18.94 lakh. Under the Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan, Rinki Rawat was given Rs 5 lakh.

The CM also felicitated meritorious students for their outstanding performance in various examinations, including Vipin Mishra (son of Rajkishore Mishra), Shivansh Singh (son of Alok Kumar Singh), Jyoti Pandey (daughter of Rajendra Prasad Pandey), Sahebe Alam (son of Noor Alam), and Ashish Yadav (son of Shobharam Yadav).

In the program, Excise Minister Nitin Agrawal, MLA Rampheren Pandey, Legislative Council member Saket Mishra, Padmasen Chaudhary, Dr. Pragya Tripathi, District Panchayat President Daddan Mishra, and others were present. A short film dedicated to the development of Shravasti was also screened during the event.
