World Will Witness the Grandeur of Simhastha-2028: CM Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the world will witness the grandeur of Indian culture during Simhastha 2028. Recently, 33 major projects costing  ₹2,675 crore have been approved for the event. Prominent temples in Ujjain will also undergo expansion.

Laying the foundation stone of the new Collectorate building, Dr. Yadav emphasized that all district offices should operate under one roof. This new 7-storey administrative complex is a step in that direction.

On the occasion of Navratri, Ujjain received the gift of 11 development projects worth  ₹370 crore. These include the new  Administrative Building and several other infrastructure projects.Dr. Yadav performed  Kanya Pujan .

Major Development Works for Simhastha-2028

The Chief Minister announced the construction of 30 km of modern riverfront ghats along the Shipra River and the upgrading of existing ones to accommodate 5 crore pilgrims. A series of bridges are also being built over the Shipra River, and Ujjain is expected to welcome metro train services in the near future.

Dr. Yadav also spoke about the Bhavantar Scheme, which has benefitted over 35 lakh farmers, and stated that work for Simhastha is progressing in accordance with the wishes of the saints and sages.Efforts are being made to improve crowd management and enhance connectivity between Madhya Pradesh and Ujjain.

Four new bridges, costing over ₹77 crore, are under construction across the Shipra River, which will soon be known as the “River of Bridges” (Pulon wali Nadi). These transformative projects will redefine Ujjain and ensure a magnificent Simhastha 2028.

New Administrative Building

The  Administrative Complex in Ujjain, being built at a cost of ₹135 crore, will serve as a model of public welfare and good governance. It will be equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure and facilities. New residential buildings will also be constructed for government officials.

MLA Shri Satish Malviya praised Chief Minister Dr. Yadav for transforming Ujjain . The new administrative building will allow district officials to serve the public more efficiently.

MLA Shri Anil Jain Kaluheda highlighted the ongoing Kanh Diversion Project to prevent water from the Kanh River from entering the Shipra River. He also mentioned developmental work across Indore and Ujjain divisions.

Foundation Laid for major Projects

Foundation stone have been laid for several development projects. They include ₹27.06 crore – Bridge construction on Shipra River at Kartik Chowk to Shankaracharya Chauraha Road (Chhota Pul), ₹17.69 crore – New 4-lane bridge downstream of Lal Pul, parallel to the railway bridge on Shipra River, ₹13.96 crore – New 2-lane bridge parallel to the one connecting Kal Bhairav Temple and Gadkalika Marg (Okhleshwar) , ₹15.86 crore – New 4-lane bridge on Shipra River at MR 24 Indore Road to Chintaman Railway Station Road, ₹20.64 crore – New rest houses at 10 km distances on major roads leading into Ujjain, ₹19.18 crore – Construction of staff housing in Ujjain Central Jail, ₹24.08 crore – Upgradation of 100-bed Madhavnagar Civil Hospital to a 200-bed facility, ₹49.10 crore – New 50-room Circuit House at Mullapura, ₹14.52 crore – Facilities at six major and minor halts along the Panchkroshi Pilgrimage Route (including domes, toilets, kitchens).

Other dignitaries including Shri Vishal Rajouria, Shri Jagdish Panchal, Shri Om Jain, Shri Anand Khichi,

Collector Shri Roshan Kumar Singh, Superintendent of Police Shri Pradeep Sharma, Municipal Commissioner Shri Abhilash Mishra and a large number of distinguished citizens.
