Jaipur, Sept 2025 — Rajasthan’s Minister of State for Forest and Environment (Independent Charge), Shri Sanjay Sharma, congratulated the people of the state after the tiger population in Sariska Tiger Reserve reached 50.
He said that tigress ST-2302 was recently captured on a camera trap near Karni Mata Temple in the buffer zone of Sariska Tiger Reserve, accompanied by her two cubs. Earlier, one cub was photographed with her in the buffer range, and now the second cub has also been spotted in the Karni Mata forest area.
With the inclusion of these two cubs, the total number of tigers in Sariska has risen to 50, which, according to the minister, is a positive sign of increasing tiger numbers.
Shri Sharma also appealed to devotees and tourists to avoid unnecessary movement, noise, and crowding in the reserve to ensure the safety and well-being of the wildlife.
