Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar Appeals for Aid to Flood Victims
Over ₹27 Lakh Raised in Just Three Days in Baramati Taluka; Rajnandini and Rajveer Donate Pocket Money for Relief
Baramati, Sept 2025 : During his three-day tour of Baramati from September 26 to 28, Deputy Chief Minister and Guardian Minister of the district, Ajit Pawar, appealed for assistance to flood-affected families across the state. Responding promptly to his call, various institutions and citizens demonstrated social responsibility by contributing a total of ₹27,52,300 to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund within just three days. The Deputy Chief Minister expressed his gratitude for their support.
In Baramati Taluka, major contributions included:
- Shri Someshwar Cooperative Sugar Factory – ₹15 lakh
- Navnath Gramin Non-Agricultural Cooperative Credit Society, Karanje – ₹2.5 lakh
- Akshay Shinde Foundation – ₹2 lakh
- Baramati Taluka Cooperative Purchase and Sale Union – ₹1 lakh
- Baramati Agricultural Produce Market Committee – ₹1 lakh
- Shankar Gramin Non-Agricultural Cooperative Credit Society – ₹1 lakh
- Sandeep Jagtap and Bharat Gawde – ₹1 lakh each
- Baramati Saraf Association – ₹75,000
- Pankaj Nilakhe – ₹51,000
- Shripal Nagari Credit Society – ₹51,000
- Baramati Taluka Maratha Seva Sangh – ₹25,000
- Nitin Atole – ₹25,000
- Baramati Taluka Cooperative Credit Society Federation – ₹21,000
- Ajayshree Gramin Non-Agricultural Cooperative Credit Society, Murum – ₹21,000
- Baramati Taluka Ex-Servicemen Association – ₹11,000
- Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Development Society – ₹10,000

All these donations were handed over to the Deputy Chief Minister to be deposited in the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
“Not for us, but for our farmer brothers”
At Karanjepul, young Rajnandini and Rajveer Malegaonkar expressed that it was not they, but their farmer brothers who were in real need of food. They donated ₹2,300 in cash, which they had saved from their pocket money, to the flood victims. Deputy Chief Minister Pawar praised and specially congratulated them for their noble gesture.
Heavy rains have caused extensive damage across various districts in the state. The state government is working on a war footing to reassure citizens and restore normalcy in their lives. Prominent individuals and social organizations from diverse fields have come forward generously to extend help. Mr. Pawar emphasized that helping one another during times of crisis is a long-standing tradition and culture of Maharashtra. He further appealed that more assistance should continue to reach flood victims in the coming days.
