Varun Tej and Lavanya Tripathi Name Their Son Vaayuv Tej Konidela on Vijayadashami

Hyderabad, Oct 2025 : Popular Telugu actors Varun Tej Konidela and Lavanya Tripathi have officially announced the name of their first child — Vaayuv Tej Konidela. The couple chose the auspicious occasion of Vijayadashami to share the news with fans and well-wishers.

Varun Tej took to Instagram to reveal the name, calling it “our greatest blessing.” Along with his post, the actor shared a video where the celebrity couple introduced their son. “We introduce our beloved son Vaayuv Tej Konidela — a name that embodies unstoppable force, devotion, courage, and spiritual radiance, carrying the spirit of Lord Hanuman,” the couple wrote.

The baby boy was born on September 10, bringing immense joy not only to his parents but also to the extended Konidela family and fans worldwide. The announcement was warmly welcomed across social media, with fans celebrating the addition of the newest member of the illustrious film family.

Earlier, Megastar Chiranjeevi had shared a heartfelt message welcoming the little one. Posting a picture of himself cradling the newborn alongside Varun, he wrote: “Welcome to the world, little one! Heartfelt congratulations to Varun Tej and Lavanya Tripathi on becoming proud parents. So happy for Nagababu and Padmaja, who are now proud grandparents. Wishing the baby boy all the happiness, good health, and blessings in abundance.”

For those unfamiliar with the family ties, Varun Tej is the son of Nagendra Babu, Chiranjeevi’s younger brother. The Konidela family, one of the most prominent in Telugu cinema, has been showered with good wishes since the child’s arrival.

Varun Tej and Lavanya Tripathi tied the knot on November 1, 2023, in a grand ceremony in Tuscany, Italy. In May 2025, they had announced their pregnancy through a monochrome Instagram post featuring their hands with a baby shoe, captioned, “Life’s most beautiful role yet — coming soon.”
