Agriculture Minister Attends the Opening Ceremony of Aizawl District Football Association First Division Football League 2025–2026

Aizawl, Oct 2025: Agriculture Minister Pu P.C. Vanlalruata of the Agriculture Department attended the inauguration ceremony of the Aizawl District Football Association (ADFA) First Division Football League 2025–2026, held at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, Mualpui.

Speaking at the event, Minister Pu P.C. Vanlalruata expressed his happiness at being part of the opening ceremony and appreciated the enthusiasm of sports lovers. He stated that football is one of the most popular sports in the world and also a game deeply rooted in Mizo culture. The Minister encouraged all sportspersons to continue improving their skills and pursue excellence in their respective fields.

He further emphasized that sports not only build physical strength but also teach discipline, teamwork, and perseverance—qualities essential for success in life. The Minister urged young players to maintain these values and strive for continuous progress.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Pu Lalbiakthanga Khiangte, President of the Aizawl District Football Association (ADFA), who expressed gratitude to all participants and supporters.

Player introductions were held during the event, and the opening match of the league followed immediately after the inauguration.
