“Forest Minister Sanjay Sharma Visits ‘Swayamsiddha-Diwali Exhibition 2025’, Urges Public to Support Local Artisans”

Jaipur, Oct, 2025: Forest and Environment Minister (Independent Charge), Mr. Sanjay Sharma, visited the ‘Swayamsiddha-Diwali Exhibition 2025’ organized by the Women’s Unit of Laghu Udyog Bharti, Alwar, at Rivaz Resort on Sunday.

Minister Sharma appreciated the work of women entrepreneurs and stated that initiatives like Swayamsiddha serve as an inspiration for building a self-reliant India. He said the exhibition not only empowers women economically but also boosts their confidence and recognition. Both the Central and State Governments are continuously working through schemes and innovations to empower women and make them self-reliant, including providing platforms to sell handmade products.

He urged the public to actively participate in the exhibition and support local artisans by purchasing their products, thereby promoting their craftsmanship and fulfilling the vision of “Local for Vocal.”

The exhibition coordinators, Ms. Kavita Kachhava and Ms. Ruchi Sodhi, explained that stalls have been set up for home décor, fashion, jewelry, handicrafts, festival decorations, and traditional attire. Visitors can purchase high-quality, attractive, and affordable products. They added that the aim of the Women’s Unit of Laghu Udyog Bharti is to make women self-reliant and connect their skills to the market.

Several dignitaries, public representatives, and social workers were also present at the event.
