Lakhimpur Kheri tops IGRS rankings for September, Balrampur claims 2nd place

Lucknow, Oct 2025 : Over the past eight and a half years, the Yogi government has set remarkable benchmarks in the overall development of Uttar Pradesh. Under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, numerous people-centric decisions have been taken that have become models of good governance across the nation. Many of these initiatives have even been adopted by other states, underscoring the effectiveness of CM Yogi’s leadership. Among these efforts, the Integrated Grievance Redressal System (IGRS) has emerged as a key instrument in realizing the Chief Minister’s vision of transparent, accountable, and responsive governance.

The IGRS continuously monitors public hearings, welfare schemes, and revenue-related activities across the state, helping districts enhance their administrative standards. According to the September IGRS report, Lakhimpur Kheri secured the first position in the state, followed by Balrampur in second place and Bareilly in third.

The system evaluates 109 programs from 49 departments across all districts based on a range of parameters, after which district-wise rankings are issued. In the September report, Lakhimpur Kheri achieved 134 points out of a possible 140. District Magistrate Durga Shakti Nagpal noted that the IGRS report assesses performance based on administrative efficiency, developmental progress, and revenue management.

She added that, in line with CM Yogi’s vision, Lakhimpur Kheri has been ensuring timely and high-quality resolution of public grievances alongside developmental work. As a result, the district achieved a 95.71% grievance resolution rate in September — the highest in the state.

DM Durga Shakti Nagpal further highlighted that under CM Yogi’s guidance, daily public hearings are conducted on a priority basis, and close monitoring ensures prompt and effective resolutions. Following the policy of “from hearing to resolution,” the district has established accountability at every administrative level — from officers to staff — ensuring swift redressal of complaints. This approach has not only reduced the number of pending grievances but also reinforced public trust in the administration.

Balrampur District Magistrate Pawan Agarwal stated that, under CM Yogi’s directions, weekly review meetings are held to assess the quality and timeliness of development projects. Public grievances are resolved on a priority basis, and IGRS rankings are based on satisfactory feedback from complainants. As a result, Balrampur secured the second position in the September IGRS rankings with 133 out of 140 points and a 95% resolution rate. He affirmed that efforts will continue to prioritize public service delivery and grievance redressal in line with the Chief Minister’s expectations.

Similarly, Bareilly ranked third with 133 points, Ambedkar Nagar fourth with 132 points, and Sonbhadra fifth with 131 points. Hathras, Shravasti, Hamirpur, Pilibhit, and Basti also featured among the top ten performing districts in the state.
