Yogi govt to construct new tourism building in Robertsganj and develop Madfa Fort as eco-tourism hub
Lucknow : In line with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s vision, the Uttar Pradesh government has initiated significant tourism development projects. The state has commenced the construction of a new district tourism building in Robertsganj, Sonbhadra, and is working on transforming Madfa Fort in Chitrakoot into an eco-tourism hub.
Uttar Pradesh Corporation Limited (UPPCL) has been tasked with overseeing these projects and has sought applications to expedite their completion. The new tourism building in Robertsganj, with an allocated budget of Rs 2.54 crore, is expected to be completed within 18 months, excluding the rainy season.
Meanwhile, the development of Madfa Fort into an eco-tourism destination, which is budgeted at Rs 76 lakh, is slated for completion within 6 months. The process of selecting agencies and assigning work is already underway, ensuring that both projects align with CM Yogi’s vision for enhancing the state’s tourism infrastructure.
Experienced agencies will be prioritized
To ensure the highest quality and timely completion of projects, the government will prioritize agencies with experience in international projects. Agencies with a proven track record of executing projects abroad will be given preference in the selection process. The chosen agencies will be required to deliver all construction and development tasks within the specified timelines and with superior quality. The new tourism building will be equipped with modern facilities and designed to meet future needs, while Madfa Fort will undergo comprehensive tourism development to establish it as an eco-tourism destination.
The selected agency will be responsible for preparing a detailed project report (DPR). Upon approval of the DPR, the agency will proceed with all construction and development activities as outlined in the project plans.
