Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2025 Men-Streaming Programme Cycle Rally Held

Aizawl, Oct 2025: As part of India’s ongoing observance of Rashtriya Poshan Maah (National Nutrition Month) 2025, a Men-Streaming Programme Cycle Rally was organized today.

The Cycle Rally was jointly organized by the Women & Child Development Department, the District Programme Officer (DPO), Aizawl, the CDPO Aizawl Urban ICDS Project, and the Mizoram Cycling Association. The rally commenced from Vanapa Hall and concluded at the AMC Office, Thuampui.

The event was flagged off by Mrs. Lalrammawii Kawilam, Assistant Director and DPO, Aizawl. The gathering was also addressed by Mr. Lalnufela Pachuau, CDPO Aizawl Urban ICDS Project, and Dr. Malsawmkima, President of the Mizoram Cycling Association.

The Men-Streaming Programme aims to spread awareness and promote education among men regarding nutrition, family welfare, and healthy lifestyles. Under the guidance of the department, men were sensitized about their responsibilities in family care, nutritional practices, maintaining good hygiene, and supporting women’s and children’s health and wellbeing.

The awareness sessions highlighted the importance of men’s participation in promoting nutrition, balanced diets, and clean living habits. The programme also emphasized men’s crucial role in ensuring a healthy family environment, supporting their partners in household and childcare responsibilities, and avoiding unhealthy or harmful eating and lifestyle choices.

Members of the Mizoram Cycling Association actively participated in the rally. The Women & Child Development Department expressed deep appreciation for their involvement, recognizing the event as a key initiative contributing to the success of Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2025 in Mizoram.
