Amit Shah Inaugurates ‘Nav Vidhan: New Identity of Justice’ Exhibition
Jaipur, Oct 2025: Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah inaugurated the grand exhibition ‘Nav Vidhan: New Identity of Justice’ at JECC Sitapura on Monday, showcasing the new criminal laws. He closely observed the exhibition, attended a live demonstration of the entire judicial process, and appreciated its comprehensive presentation. Rajasthan Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma and Acting Chief Justice of Rajasthan High Court Shri Sanjeev Prakash Sharma were also present.
The exhibition presents the judicial process in three stages across ten zones with live demonstrations, providing visitors detailed insight from reporting of a crime to the final judicial decision. It allows anyone to easily understand how the new laws have made the justice process faster, simpler, accessible, and transparent, and how various departments function at each stage.
The first stage illustrates the complaint and investigation process, featuring models of the control room, crime scene, and police station. The second stage focuses on scientific and legal verification, displaying the functioning of hospitals, forensic labs (FSL), and the Public Prosecution Office. The third stage showcases district courts, prisons, and the High Court, along with a brief overview of the new criminal laws. The exhibition’s layout is centered on the principle of ‘Justice First.’
It highlights positive changes in the criminal justice system under the new laws, including strict action against offenders, victim-centric provisions, speedy trials, use of technology, e-evidence, e-summons, e-prosecution, cybercrime control, and the abolition of colonial-era laws. The exhibition also showcases ongoing initiatives, progress, and success stories under these new laws. Through the extensive use of technology, the exhibition demonstrates time and effort savings, timely disposal of cases, and rehabilitative measures for offenders, helping them reintegrate into mainstream society.
Earlier, the Home Minister flagged off 56 FSL vehicles and 100 scooters and motorcycles for women’s safety patrolling. The event was attended by Law Minister Shri Jogaram Patel, Chief Secretary Shri Sudhansh Pant, Director General of Police Shri Rajiv Kumar Sharma, and other officials.
