Ladli Behna Yojana—Transformative Initiative for Womens Empowerment: CM Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that women are the backbone and honour of every family. In Sanatan culture, women are revered and worshipped as embodiments of the Divine Feminine. He said that the State Government is committed to safeguarding women’s rights and strengthening their empowerment through sustained efforts. The Chief Minister stated that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi considers women’s empowerment his foremost priority and envisions women playing a leading role from Gram Panchayats to Parliament. He added that the Madhya Pradesh Government shares the same commitment and that the State’s Ladli Behna Yojana has emerged as a transformative initiative for women’s empowerment.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, addressing the State-level Ladli Behna Yojana programme, transferred more than ₹1,835 crore as the 38th instalment of financial assistance to over 1.25 crore Ladli Behnas at Lahar in Bhind district on Sunday. He also inaugurated and performed Bhoomi Poojan for 56 development works worth ₹322 crore in Bhind district, including newly constructed buildings of four Sandipani Schools. The Chief Minister also announced the expansion of postgraduate-level academic facilities at the college in Lahar.

Welfare Initiatives for Women, Youth, Farmers and the Poor

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the State Government is making every effort to ensure the prosperity, convenience and safety of working women. Along with women and girls, the Government is also committed to the welfare of youth, farmers and economically weaker sections. He said the objective is to empower young people not merely to seek employment but to become job creators. The Chief Minister observed that some people oppose welfare initiatives for women despite never having introduced an effective scheme like the Ladli Behna Yojana themselves. He said the financial assistance provided under the scheme has brought happiness and stability to families. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav reiterated the Government’s unwavering commitment to women’s empowerment, describing women as embodiments of Goddess Lakshmi, Goddess Saraswati and Jagadamba. The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India’s global stature has risen and the country is witnessing a historic transformation. He stated that the Women’s Reservation initiative would open a new chapter in the nation’s history. The Chief Minister expressed confidence that, while some had attempted to obstruct the implementation of women’s reservation, efforts to empower women would ultimately succeed.

Chief Minister Sugam Parivahan Seva to be Launched Soon

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav announced that the ‘Chief Minister Sugam Parivahan Seva’ would soon be launched across the State. He said such a transport service has long been needed by women, girls and all citizens, and that the State Government is working expeditiously to roll it out.

New Momentum for Development in the Gwalior-Chambal Region

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said Bhind district is scripting a new chapter of development. He noted that the district is known for its brave soldiers who safeguard the nation’s borders and its hardworking farmers. The Chief Minister said that the region is historically and culturally associated with the Mahabharata. According to local belief, Lahar derives its name from the Lakshagriha episode. He also highlighted the region’s deep spiritual association with Lord Hanuman.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that while the Chambal ravines in Bhind were once known for the menace of banditry, the region is now witnessing rapid development. He said that the establishment of an advanced long-range missile manufacturing unit for defence applications in neighbouring Shivpuri district would create new opportunities for regional growth. He added that comprehensive efforts are underway to accelerate development across the Gwalior-Chambal region.

Sandipani Schools Combining Education with Values

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that among the development projects launched in Bhind are four Sandipani Schools. He said, referring to the historic association of Bhagwan Krishna and Sudama with Sandipani Ashram, that the schools have been named to inspire students with the values of equality, friendship and character. Equipped with modern facilities, the schools aim to impart both quality education and moral values.

Preparations Underway to Implement UCC This Month

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that, inspired by Syama Prasad Mookerjee, the State Government is preparing to implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) this month. He said a high-level committee was constituted nd suggestions were invited from citizens, followed by consultations with representatives of various organisations and intellectuals. The Chief Minister added that preparations for implementation are in the final stages and that many members of the Muslim community have also expressed support for the new framework. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said the objective of the UCC is to establish a uniform legal framework governing marriage, divorce, maintenance, inheritance and other related personal and family matters, replacing separate legal provisions with a common system.

Government Committed to Inclusive Development

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav reiterated that the State Government is committed to the welfare of farmers, women, youth, the poor and every section of society. He said several initiatives have been launched under Krishak Kalyan Varsh to safeguard farmers’ interests, including procurement of crops at the Minimum Support Price (MSP). The Chief Minister added that efforts are underway to increase milk production by promoting gaushalas and providing financial support, with the aim of taking Madhya Pradesh from third to first place in the country in milk production.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said the State is witnessing unprecedented growth in industry and commerce. Madhya Pradesh now has one of the lowest unemployment rates in the country, and the Government is committed to creating an ecosystem where young people become employers rather than job seekers.

Geeta Bhavans to Be Established Across the State

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav announced that Geeta Bhavans are being established in urban areas across the State, while the concept of Vrindavan Gram will be developed in rural areas. He noted that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi often presents copies of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita to distinguished guests from across the country, reflecting the importance of India’s spiritual heritage.

Ministers and Public Representatives Address the Gathering

Panchayat and Rural Development, Labour and Bhind District In-charge Minister Shri Prahlad Singh Patel thanked Chief Minister Dr. Yadav for dedicating development projects worth over ₹322 crore to Bhind district. He described the day as historic for Lahar and said the district continues to progress under the Chief Minister’s leadership. Lahar MLA Shri Ambrish Sharma said the region has consistently received development projects under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav. He noted that the establishment of the defence manufacturing unit in Shivpuri has created new employment opportunities for the region. He also mentioned that the foundation stone for six large gaushalas has been laid in Lahar and praised the Government’s efforts for the welfare of women, farmers, and the preservation of religion and culture.

Distribution of Benefits and Exhibition Visit

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated the programme by lighting the ceremonial lamp and performing Kanya Poojan. He also distributed benefits to eligible beneficiaries under various government schemes. Entrepreneurs from the Malanpur Industrial Area presented a memento to the Chief Minister. The Chief Minister also visited exhibitions showcasing public welfare schemes implemented by government departments, nutrition initiatives, high-tech horticulture and products displayed by self-help groups and women entrepreneurs.

The programme was attended by New and Renewable Energy Minister Shri Rakesh Shukla, Bhind MLA Shri Narendra Singh Kushwah, District Panchayat Chairperson Smt. Kamna Singh Bhadauria, former ministers Shri Lal Singh Arya and Shri O.P.S. Bhadauria, public representatives, senior officials and a large number of citizens.

Chief Minister Offers Prayers at Dandaraua Sarkar Dham

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav visited the renowned religious Lord Hanuman shrine Dandaraua Sarkar Dham in Mehgaon tehsil, where he offered prayers for the peace, prosperity and well-being of the people of Madhya Pradesh. The Chief Minister said, highlighting the religious and spiritual significance of the shrine, that such centres of faith strengthen positive values, cultural heritage and social harmony. He also met the temple’s Mahant, Shri Shri 1008 Ramdas Ji Maharaj, and visited the temple premises.
