MoU Signed Between RAJIVIKA and Indian Institute of Crafts & Design Under ‘Unnati Incubation Hub’

Jaipur, Oct 2025: To empower women associated with rural and self-help groups through handicraft-based livelihoods, the Rajasthan Rural Livelihoods Development Council (RAJIVIKA) signed a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Crafts & Design (IICD), Jaipur, under its new initiative, the ‘Unnati Incubation Hub,’ at RAJIVIKA’s state headquarters in Jaipur on Monday.

The event was attended by IICD Secretary Shri Narendra Gupta, RAJIVIKA Mission Director Ms. Neha Giri, Project Director Ms. Preeti Singh, State Project Manager Dr. Pooja Sharma, and other officials.

The MoU aims to promote skill development, innovation, product diversification, and market empowerment of rural women through design-based interventions and capacity building.

Through the combined efforts of RAJIVIKA’s institutional outreach and IICD’s design expertise, this collaboration will provide new directions to handicraft and craft-based enterprises, enabling women associated with self-help groups to become self-reliant and helping their products reach national and international markets.

This partnership represents a significant step towards sustainable livelihoods, innovation, and social empowerment for rural women.
