Madhya Pradesh Leads in Implementation of “Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan”

President Smt. Droupadi Murmu today felicitated Madhya Pradesh at the National Conclave on the “Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan” held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. Shri Gulshan Bamra, Principal Secretary, Tribal Affairs Department of Madhya Pradesh, received the recognition on behalf of the state for its excellent performance. He also gave a presentation on the efforts being made under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav for the social and economic upliftment of the tribal communities.

Madhya Pradesh has ranked among the top five states in the country for its outstanding implementation of the Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan.

It is noteworthy that the Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan was launched by the Union Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, to speed up socio-economic development of tribal communities. The Abhiyan aims at developing leadership at the village level in tribal areas, ensuring effective implementation of government schemes, while makeing governance more accountable. The initiative is based on values like service, commitment, and dedication and is a significant step toward making tribal communities self-reliant, aware, and empowered.

While giving an overview of tribal development in Madhya Pradesh, Shri Gulshan Bamra informed that 1.41 lakh Aadi Sahayogis are working under the campaign, along with 1.92 lakh Aadi Saathis and 1,210 NGOs. The goal is to prepare three lakh change leaders who will support in the implementation of tribal development schemes at the grassroots level. Over 13,000 Aadi Seva Kendras have been established to assist tribal people.

Special attention is being given to children’s education in tribal areas. Dropout students are being closely monitored. Currently, 2,913 institutions, including Mata Shabari Residential Girls’ Complexes, hostels, model residential schools, Eklavya Model Residential Schools, ashram schools, and sports complexes are operating with a combined residential capacity of 230,000 students. Special sessions are also being organized for students’ skill development. Regular health camps are being held to prevent malaria, TB, and anemia.

Between June and September this year alone, over 81,000 Ayushman Cards were distributed. Special initiatives have been undertaken for maternal health as well. Additionally, telemedicine services are now being operated in over 9,000 Ayushman Arogya Health Centers. Self-help groups have been formed and linked with employment and livelihood activities, with credit facilities provided to start economic ventures.

Under the PM Janman Yojana, Madhya Pradesh has performed exceptionally in implementing beneficiary-oriented schemes. The state achieved 100% success in providing essential documents like Aadhaar cards, Jan Dhan bank accounts, Ayushman Cards, caste certificates, Kisan Credit Cards, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, and ration cards. Districts such as Shivpuri, Maihar, Raisen, Katni, and Bhind performed outstandingly in issuing Ayushman Cards.

Shivpuri was also recognised for excellent performance in the PM Janman. Under the Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan, Betul district was recognized at the national level for its excellent performance. In the category of Outstanding Master Trainers, Assistant Research Officer Mrs. Sarika Dholpuria from Madhya Pradesh was honoured. Other districts highlighted for exceptional performance include Betul, Dhar, East Nimar (Khandwa), and Barwani.

Deputy Commissioner of Tribal Development Shri J.P. Yadav was honoured as a state-level Super Coach and Master Trainer. The Integrated Tribal Development Agencies (ITDA) of Barwani, Betul, and Shivpuri were recognized for their notable activities. Under the “Dharti Aba Jan Bhagidari Abhiyan” (Earth Father Public Participation Campaign), the districts of Guna, Burhanpur, and Vidisha were also awarded for excellent performance. The ITDAs of Guna and Vidisha received top honors for their outstanding work.

It is noteworthy that Village Action Plans have been created for 14,000 villages under the Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan and approved by the Gram Sabhas. Over 13,000 Aadi Seva Kendras have been set up in these villages. Essential documents such as Aadhaar cards, Ayushman cards, PM Kisan documents, Jan Dhan accounts, caste certificates, Kisan Credit Cards, and ration cards have been issued.
