Samrat Chaudhary Highlights Bihar’s Development, Launches Campaign for Manoj Yadav in Belhar
Patna, Oct 2025 :Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary addressed a large election rally in the Belhar Assembly constituency on Wednesday evening, urging voters to re-elect sitting BJP ally Manoj Yadav while sharply criticizing opposition parties. Focusing on the state’s development record under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Chaudhary contrasted progress with what he described as “jungle raj” under previous governments.
Chaudhary highlighted infrastructure improvements, particularly in Belhar, noting that the constituency now has paved roads, a marked change from the past. He cited the state’s remarkable progress in electrification, with household coverage rising from 1.7 million to 27.4 million. Since August 1, 125 units of electricity per household have been provided free of charge, effectively reducing bills to zero for 17 million households.
The Deputy Chief Minister also emphasized welfare initiatives, noting that ₹1,100 per month is being directly transferred to the accounts of the elderly, disabled, and widowed women, benefiting over 11.2 million families across Bihar. He recalled former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi’s claim that only a fraction of government aid reached the intended recipients, asserting that under the current administration, every rupee reaches the beneficiary directly.
Chaudhary lauded women empowerment initiatives, including the bicycle scheme launched two decades ago by Nitish Kumar and Sushil Kumar Modi, which has helped transform the lives of young girls. He highlighted the Chief Minister’s Women’s Employment Scheme, through which women will receive ₹2 lakh, with an initial installment of ₹10,000 already deposited. According to Chaudhary, these initiatives have helped Jeevika Didis progress toward financial independence.
Targeting the RJD and Congress, Chaudhary accused them of outdated politics and misleading narratives. He claimed the era of lantern politics is over, while the Congress continues spreading falsehoods about the government returning money to women beneficiaries. He reaffirmed that no woman’s funds would be withdrawn. He also criticized JDU MP Girdhari Yadav, accusing him of betraying the people of Banka, and cautioned voters about his son, who recently joined the RJD and is contesting on its ticket.
Chaudhary outlined several development projects for the region, including the construction of a new expressway connecting Banka to Kolkata within five hours. He also highlighted a ₹2,000 crore project to supply Ganges water to Hanuman Dam for irrigation, promising completion within a year. Additionally, he noted the reduction of GST rates on essential commodities, making daily necessities more affordable.
Throughout the rally, Chaudhary reiterated Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of transforming India from a “golden bird” to a “golden city,” emphasizing progress, welfare, and infrastructure development. His address was met with repeated applause from the large crowd, reflecting strong support for the NDA alliance and Manoj Yadav in Belhar.
